Funny that you should mention that strategy ! -

A couple / few years back when I was consistently tracking and recording my toss outcomes -

I came to the conclusion that betting the Point established with odds and the sister number -

Had MORE $ won than betting either Inside , Outside - Across - whatever !

In this scenario I am focusing on ONLY on the Point number and its opposite -

And I will " SNIPE " to bring it back - immediately - if NOT sooner !'

THIS tactic / strategy minimizes your " RISK " factor significantly !

    As an aside -

    When you see " G " -

Wish him a " Merry Christmas and A Happy New year " from " Momma and I -

    And most sincerely -

The same to You and Yours !

Thanks....same to you, & yours! Ya know, there comes a point in time when ya have to be honest with yourself ( especially when your hard earned money is concerned). I have come to find that influence....AT LEAST FOR ME is almost non-existent, (These days) so I must bet accordingly. I am at a point wherein I've had to start all over from scratch. I cannot pinch the dice properly for long periods of time with my shooting hand, so......I'm starting all over shooting with my opposite hand. Who said that life would be fair as you're getting older? Some people age devoid of ailments......MOST DON'T!

At any rate, I've always stated that I don't think a shooter can gain enough influence to beat the multi-bets. Across, inside, etc.

I think the best case scenario is MAYBE a tug of war type of thingy wherein after its all said, & done, the talented shooter meets his/her demise, betting multi-bets. In other words ya relinquish any advantage that ya MIGHT have had by not betting only the point, & the sister number!

Sniping numbers is no easy feat, but IF YOU CAN snipe with any consistency, why NOT maximize profits, & minimize losses by focusing on the two numbers that your dice set SHOULD bring ya?

I think that "Mad Demango" said it best: "Most good shooters piss away any advantage by making bets that their so-called skill cannot overcome"!

With a slim house advantage of only 1.41 on the passline, & 1.52 on the 6/8's.....that might be the route to go. As far as taking odds....It might be wise to skip the odds, & only take odds AFTER ya have hit the sister number at least once. ( Preservation of bankroll). Now, of course if you're James Hall....Just "Send it in" & continue to print money! Lol.

I think that most Practictioners engage erroneously because of a rehearsed toss that SOMETIMES gives clouded vision, forgoing risk versus reward.

A good shooter only thinks about tossing numbers, numbers, & more numbers, usually only having a GENERAL idea of what numbers SHOULD appear.

It's much easier for your bankroll to focus on only the two numbers that your dice set SHOULD produce.

Personally, I think it makes you a more focused shooter because you're not just accepting any numbers. You are narrowing a goal. Trying to pinpoint things.

Sure, Dice Influencing is all about tossing a bunch of numbers before the Devil shows, but Sniping ( if it's at all possible), forces you to REALLY focus, & it certainly raises the bar!

One thing is certain........I am absolutely DONE thinking that tossing the dice magnificently is the road to riches. There are a myriad of intracacies involved with being a winner at the game of Craps.
A man's gotta know his limitations, but most importantly......Ya gotta realize when you're defeated, & walk away!

2017......Worst fu**ing year that I've ever had since dabbling with Dice Influencing. No more silly mistakes for Old Top! Gonna prance like a leopard in 2018!

    Happy Holidays!

In ALL honesty - " I " think that YOU are much, much MORE proficient than what you publicly claim ! -

THAT is a story for another day !

YOU and I know that it is the RESULT of your toss - when the dice come to rest - that THAT is the true tell tale result -

It does NOT matter what transpires in the interim -

Whether the dice maintained their On Axis perspective - OR - they yawed or whatever -

IT IS WHAT numbers are ON the UP side of the dice when they stop -

IS the crux of the matter !

FWIW - MY BEST 7-OUTS occurred when the dice were PERFECTLY thrown and flew in the air in synch and landed with the Dead Cat non-bounce result !

Tell me that does NOT suck !

My wife has an arthritic condition in her fingers -

With focused practice she was able to overcome her handicap -

A few years ago I injured my right palm when a piece of wood kicked back on me on the table saw -

I had to resort to shooting and setting with my left hand -

It was a different experience to put it mildly -

I do not recall the exact results -

But I will say with all honesty - they were LESS than stellar !

It IS totally possible to shoot with your " weak " hand as proficiently - if NOT BETTER - than with your strong hand !

It ONLY requires dedication and PRACTICE !

    Good Luck to You !

    Your "best" 7outs? So, you're a don't player?
As for Tops proficiency, he claims -12K for the year and that speaks for itself. Proficiency being a combination of throwing skill and betting discipline.
In the game of golf, it is not uncommon to strike the ball very poorly, and yet get a good result. Even though the result is what matters, you know, that you cannot survive on poor ball striking. The reverse is also true, that you can strike the ball well, and get a bum result. You learn to except the latter as an inevitable part of the game. The former, is what your trying to minimize with practice. I can equate this to what "DI's" are saying, but one more point, it does not matter what you look like, achieving a good throw.:).

Thanks! I'm not a quitter! It's simply disheartening to be forced to start all over again. 10 years of involvement, & I'm forced to use my non-dominate hand. The only salvation is that at least I have someone to practice regularly with ( G). I really hate that Holiday shopping canceled out a scheduled practice session with G. ( Saturday) Unfortunately, I'll have to wait out the Holiday season before I can get back to practicing, & playing.

I've repeatedly tried to practice alone at home, but after 10 years.....I need a little motivation ( preferably practicing with a partner, or a REAL Casino session). At any rate, regardless of how things develop.....I will proceed cautiously with my betting strategies.

Practicing your Dice Tossing does NOT give ya a "Pass" whilst in the Casino's. It's hard work, even when ya THINK you've got the best of it.

Fu**king Dice will turn on ya like a Pit Bull.
Regarding Pretty Mid-Air tosses......I just wanna NAIL my target, & NOT worry so much about perfect rotational Control, & rollout after contact with the back wall.

I think that if your release is consistent, you'll do okay! No good shooter wants their dice flying all over the layout, but thinking your gonna restrict bounce on every toss is a pipe Dream. Hit your spot on the table, be consistent, & Wager smartly. Nothing wrong with betting only 1-2 numbers at table minimum, & getting aggressive ONLY with Casino winnings!

The biggest misconception is to think that ya have to START a hand with 3-6 numbers, & sizeable bets.

Good post! I think that everyone has bad sessions. I've just come to find that most Di's only report the good outings. As a matter of fact, I cannot recall the last time that I have read a post wherein a Di posted a losing session. When was the last time that YOU read a Di posting about a Nut Clipping?

Either Old Top is the worst Di on the forum, or these other Di's simply aren't telling the whole story! PROBABLY BOTH!

    FWIW -

The RIGHT side of the Brain controls the Left side of your body -

    And - Vice Versa -

YOU will probably be more successful using your OTHER / WEAK hand and learning toss mechanics with it -

Simply because all of the bad stuff you developed over the years are now gone !

    You are starting fresh !

I firmly believe that YOU will be BETTER for the transition from right hand to left - or vice versa !

    Gotta have FAITH, Bro !

Well, I suppose there is little consolation in the fact that, you do look "MAH-VEL-OUS" when you throw them. As for the others not posting losers, that's probably a blessing. One thing about a "losing" post, nobody ever accuses you of lying, except maybe the wife. "WHERE'S THE MONEY YOU DAMNED LIER"! :D

Never understood "hunting" as a sport. I mean you have a gun man, it's no contest. I'm sure anybody that has experienced combat, would tell you, it's no fun, when the quarry, also has a gun.

Well last night at the " Sun" my first shot on the CO said " You are in trouble". Shot was ragged and looked like a RR "daily special".Time to regroup and go over in your mind how the shot is executed. Pass line repeater so time to calm down.

It was four. Probably HAD to shot them, cause it looked like those ducks were in attack formation. :)

You kill the ducks with a gun, the dog then retrieves them. The dog does not "down" the ducks. It's a good idea to have a partner to hunt ducks with also, but not "Dick" Cheney. :) Although I think TD should give him a call, and see if he's free.:D
