    Hi everyone.

Just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself. Been playing a lot of craps lately so I enjoy coming to this site and reading about different strategies.

I am basically a casual player. Not a novice but no where close to as experienced as the other forum members.

So far I have a simple strategy. When I first get to the table I play the pass line, back it up for 2X and also play the inside numbers. I do same bet until I get at least half of my money back. Then I start occasionally upping each bet by a unit. Also I will eventually get the 4 and 10 in play as well.

I've been having pretty good success so far this year. I think I have played 7 times this year (all in the last 4 weeks) and have 6 winning sessions and only 1 losing sessions. Of course some of my "sessions" last only ~20 min. That's is one benefit of passing the casino on my way home from work. I can basically go any day so when I do go I dont feel like I have to stay for hours.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I am looking to incorporate come bets into my play. Do people think thats a good idea?

I noticed you play craps on your way home from work.

Most forum members here, play craps for a living. They're that good.

Also, you said you've been winning.

Why change your methods? Winning is good!

    Enjoy the forum!

    Welcome!

Enjoy the forum. Most members are earnest, some are less so. You will figure out quickly who is 'pulling your chain'.

Strategy and BR mgmt is occasionally discussed here, with much good info.

Be aware no matter what you post, someone will argue with you.

    Good luck, and have fun!

    Hey everyone.

Thanks for the replies. Pretty impressive if people can make a living out of rolling dice. I definitely would not be able to do that. I usually only start with between $100 and $200. I always read that if you are starting with that amount you should only have $5-$10 on the table after the come out roll. Well I usually have ~$31 in play. So maybe I am not doing good money management? I dont know. Like I say, I am not doing it for a living so I do like to have a little action going.

    Spaceman,

Sorry if you misunderstood my jest about members here making a living at the craps table. Once you've been here awhile, it will make sense.

I didn't realize anybody on this forum worked for a living. I assumed we all were craps professionals.

There are people here who are so good at craps, they get banned from casinos, and suspended from this forum.

    Yo spaceman1218,
Don't be jokers here. Some of them are BS peddlers who hype up the Dice Control crap only to entice you to show up one of their weekend events where you pay for a bunch of advice you can get for free just about anywhere, and then pay for the privilege of being at the same tables with them where you can watch them randomly throw the dice that they say are 'controlled throws'. Yeah, they piss on your leg and tell you it's raining.

There are pro gamblers out there, most keep it way on the QT for a lot of reasons, not like these jokers who shout from the roof tops that they got some 'secret that the casinos hate'. Quite a few make a living off the craps tables in Vegas, that is if you want to call it that. When you read the stories of pro gamblers and meet a few, you realize that they are not living 'normal lives' and the grind (that is the ups and downs of gambling) is everything to them.

    Stick with playing for fun.

Welcome, Spaceman...You'll find most of the answers to any questions about the game that might pop up at you. Your betting strategy looks real strong with favorable table conditions, but unfortunately the good luck comes and goes. When I try to show rookie players the basics, I always emphasize to keep it really simple. Every session, you can learn another aspect, but trying to learn everything when the new guy is maybe a bit overwhelmed the first time at a live table is a fool's errand.Good luck!

I am envious SM. The casino is only "slightly out of the way" on my way home, turning a 13 mile drive home from the office into a 33 mile trek that I've made a hell of a lot of times over the past 10-12 years.

I definitely think that you are on to something with the 20 minutes sessions. That short of a time allows for anything - enough time to pound out a lot of hits if they are happening, yet not long enough to let the negative expectation built into the game beat you up too much.

Continued good luck with your play. You gotta love the payment on those outside numbers.

Where are you from and what is your home casino?

Hey Space - I'm from Northern NJ. Mohegan Sun is my spot; 12 foot tables by Johnny Rockets. We may have played together in the past, let me know when you're heading up again...
