You betcha , Bet $5 on that hard 8 , parlay it twice hit the third time EASIEST $5,000 you will ever make Bet $5 and roll 3, that's what we will call that bit of , "MESA MAGIC" "BET 5 & ROLL 3"
So you r saying luck is not part of the game? Even a skilled poker player says they got lucky sometimes. Lol. You can talk about probabilities, bad bets, sucker bets , and whatever else all day but anything can happen. There's no denying that.
Someone should start a thread titled "FOREPLAY" , Which would explore the moments leading up to buying in at the table The question being what do you do , "FORE you Play"
Yes , I know that if people do what is necessary to win , they will win If luck was a factor , what you bet would be totally irrelevant If you are lucky at the moment you make the bet , it wouldn't matter what you bet , you would win No one I have talked to , and I have talked to thousands over the years, can satisfactorily define luck to the point that it would prove luck to be a , "POWER" capable of causing a win or a loss A better word than , "LUCK" would be , "ACCIDENT" Winning is not an accident , it's not something THAT SIMPLY HAPPENS It is , "SOMETHING YOU DO" , It's something you make happen
Your statement is exactly right SIR. If one did not win, then they did not do what was necessary to win. It's a fact, SIR.
6&8, Welcome to the board. As you know, there is no "right way" to play the game. We all play for our own reasons, but one thing that is common among all is the desire to win some money. We all have seen by experience that, in a negative expectation game such as craps, it is easier to lose than to win, but that anything is possible. Concerning the basics of craps strategy, you can play Do or Don't. Because of the dice outcome probabilities as described by the Table of 36, playing the Do gives you an opportunity to win more than you wager, but suffers from the possibility of losing every bet you have made with the appearance of the wrong number. Depending on the timing of the appearance of the wrong number, the Do payer can win or lose a lot of money. Playing the Don't, the come out roll is the players biggest problem. Once safely through it, the player becomes the favorite. If he can get 5 or 6 come out wagers behind a number, he can win all of his bets on one roll. He can also use his status as favorite to lay odds on all of his numbers, but the problem here is that he is risking more than he will win because he is favored. Concerning the hops, you are putting out six units to cover ten of 36 possibilities. Most likely outcome is the loss of six units with the appearance of one of the 26 uncovered outcomes. Even a winner costs you 5 of 6 units with the payment of either 15 or 30 for a net +10 or +25. Something like -6-6+15-6-6-6-6+25-6-6 has you at -8 units in spite of a couple of nice hits. There are probably better places to put your wagers.
Can't suggest improvements to or even comment on a strategy without knowing the goals of its user. "What am I doin' here?" Or as Willy Shakemup (or something like that) intoned: "The fault, dear James, is not in our stars, but in ourselves."
Boy is that ever true , and I can say , I work to correct my faults everyday what bothers me after almost 80 years , I have so few left to continue working on so I am left with only working on craps and perfecting my game What do I do when I perfect that too?? Oh my gawd what will I do????
I just thought that I would wish all of u a Happy Memorial Day. I hope that u all enjoyed the day with family and friends. Keep safe out there. Just sayin.
"NOT LOSING", is next best thing to "WINNING", . To better "tweak" your strategy, we need to know your starting bankroll for session, and what your win goal is. You mentioned that this system "worked" for you, so just for fun, define, what you mean by "worked". If you ask somebody their opinion, don't be offended by a negative answer, agreement, doesn't leave much to discuss. Nothing said, in a reply, will change your results, so it's not "knocking it down" it's critiquing, which is what you requested. Those that reply may or may not have a better idea.
