And don’t forget to bet extra on what the dice HAVE given you. This strategy will improve your wins immensely.
Thanks that was a quick response. Ok here it goes. I'm an avid craps player so bare with me. But first may I say that a lot of people talk about prop bets (and so many other bets on the craps table) as being suckers bets just because the odds of the them are so less but isnt that " gambling" Ok here it goes. On the come out roll I hop the 6's and 8's for a $1each ($6) and if they hit I either $16 and down on the easy 6's or 8's or $31 and down on the hard 6or8. ($16 and down)....I keep my original $6 that I put up on the hopping 6's and 8's so now I am even with my money and split the $10 that I am ahead on the hard 6 and 8 for $5 each. One hit on either the 6 or 8 hard I hit for $45 and take the $5 down on the other hardway and take the $5 on the hardway I hit on and the win of $45 added together for$50 and then split it on the hard 6 and 8 for $25 each. A second hit on either the 6 or 8 hard wins $225. Either I just take the $225 or take down both $25 on the hardways for $275. Most of the time I take it all down and replace the hard 6 and 8 for $5 each for $265 ahead. To sum it up $6, 6 and 8 hop $16 or $31 and down(hardway) Keep original $6( (even now) $5 each on 6 and 8 hard First hit wins $45 plus $5 = $50 Take down $5 on other hard. Split $25 each on both 6 and 8 Second wins $225 if u just take Or $275 if u take it all down Or $265 if you replace the 6 and 8 hard for $5 each. Before I go any further does everyone understand it?
A lot of it depends on how much you want to play. The recreational player who only ventures out once a month or so and plays short sessions can get away with place bet strategy's. Lose $100, no big deal, wait a couple months and go again. Unless they have significant bankroll, the person who puts in a lot of hours at the table is going to spend a lot of the time he wishes he was playing trying to save up their next gambling stake if they rely on place bets only. Pass and come bets are superior if you play a lot. You are "betting what the dice are giving you" more often than place bets over the long term. Put in around 8 hours of table time yesterday. Pass won overall, place bets lost overall because there wasn't that one long roll all day. Net loss for the day. We decided to call it a day because we were just ready to go home and call it a day. Still ahead for the week, month and year.
More to follow is never a given but when you consider the risk and reward factor , it sometimes pays to take the shot / gamble. I look at it this way , I play the hard 6 & hard 8 for $5 each for me and for the dealers I parlay it twice , if I hit either the third time I am up $5,000 , I can lose that $5 a lot of times and still be money ahead, There have been many many occasions where I have rolled an easy number with $500 on that particular hard way . I roll enough of them the third time that I would never , consider not playing them The key is , a person should bet what the dice are giving them far too many people don't , they have , "A" betting strategy and they stick to it regardless of outcome In your earlier post you indicated that the fellow you referred to as James seemed to recognize the trend In all likelihood to some degree he did because He was paying attention to what the dice were doing Many people would have everyone believe the dice are always random , they are not
Incompetence? Wow tough crowd. Lol . Well hopefully the math got better in the past 7 yrs. Aren't we all just strategists??? Lmao
I talk about this a lot. What I tell people is "Many times the difference between winning and losing , is having the courage to make the bets when you see these things , you mentioned, happening. The biggest thing is to not get all caught up in the negative rhetoric put out there by TDVegas and some of those guys when they say "YOU CAN'T BET TRENDS , BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW IT'S A TREND TILL IT'S OVER Statements like that are real win killers The real winners are those who have the COURAGE to make the bets when the opportunities present themselves I did read your earlier post and am sorry you did not fare better Perhaps next time
100% agree. A guy like James who comes into town once every 4 months and wants to "spice it up" with high house edge bets, prop bets, parlay hardways...go for it. A regular, serious player doing that will get burned up pretty fast.
When people are on the table, the game going on , they know what they should be doing When the game is over , they know , WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE , they call that , "HIND SIGHT" they say you have 20 / 20 vision there , "LEARN FROM IT"
That was misspelled word, he meant Sirius, Player. As in, a player from the constellation Canis Major. Commander, SIR.
I wouldn't do it...but to each his own. As a regular player, hops and hardways will be a bankroll drain, IMO. I'm not exactly sure what the combined house edge is but assuming it's in the 7-10% range. Oooof. A bit high for my tastes. As I said, to each his own as everyone has different play time, goals, etc. If you are happy with it...stay with it.
Well like I said it's just part of my game play and it's only a $6 investment which I get back in a hop hit. $275 for $6 doesn't sound bad to me. Especially if it ONLY hits 1- 3 times a session.
Hello 6&8Hopper, welcome to the forum. I too am fairly new to the forum. I saw there was activity on this thread, so I began reading it from the beginning and even "liked" a couple of the older posts. I will say that your post started some good conversation. Keep it up.
IF you can influence the dice. IF you use the Hardways set. IF your dice stay on axis IF you don’t double pitch too much. THEN you got a helluva strategy! Lotta IF’s!
Hate to say it but there are a lot of it's in the game of craps, no matter how you play. A woman rolled 154 times before she rolled a seven. You just never know. That's why they called gambling and not winning.
