Oh...I’ve seen that too. Looking into the wallet for those hundreds....only to discover they have already “magically” disappeared. They look around in disbelief like...“where is the pick pocket?”

Those are the guys who tell you they are down $200 for the session....simply because they have forgotten about the other $200

When using casino math and the game remaining
    random this is an absolute.

No, it's NOT an absolute, people win at craps ALL of the time.

Unfortunately, it is different people, not always the same ones.

The math tells us we should expect to lose because the game is designed to favor the house rather than the player, but because we have close to an even game (if played "smartly"), the player can and sometimes does win.

That might have some merit if everyone is losing.

This , tragically , is the majority of gamblers at any game.

You are correct , that IS EXACTLY what the casino math suggests.
Again correct and because some players play
more smartly than others they are able to win MORE
    and more consistently.

I was answering to the statement that TDV made
"Sure...but if you are truly utilizing math, you are still expected to lose more money". Stating that you are still EXPECTED to lose ,
I was not saying They would lose.

I love craps players....they are eternally optimistic.....they enjoy what they are doing......when the table is really hot you have made 16 new, happy, immediate friends. that make you feel good, there is a common bond , they understand they are in a fight with the deck stacked against them but are willing........

They will drive thru a snowstorm for 2 hours to go to the casino.......they are soo optimistic that they will belly up to the table with crumpled up 20's and think they will win enough to have/do this.......

Hi Koko. Somewhere you posted about how we were doing in Vegas, but now I can't find it.

Ended up slightly in the hole this trip. Won every session on Blackjack but craps was choppy and sluts were slutty. Wife had significant negative variance on Bingo that was the majority of our loss.

Had one good roll on the bubble at Santa Fe where I got a $10 flat pass line bet up to $150 and hit it. I took the $150 and put $25 on all the box numbers. Ended up making $1126 dollars on that roll but had $1100 invested. lol.

Caught a good roll at Red Rock on Saturday that recouped half my craps losses.

We stayed at Down Town Grand. Really liked their table but couldn't get anything going there. In the mornings they only had one side open, even on Saturday.

We won't stay there again. The rooms are small and only a shower in the room we had. Doesn't matter to me but the wife insists on a tub. The rooms look like the old lady Luck with new mattresses, lol.

Lots of Alien themed freaks in town last weekend. Horn Hi was right, lots of homeless people around the parking garage but nobody bothered us.

Lots of construction downtown, but Main Street is done except for by the Plaza. Looks like they're building a parking garage across the street from the new casino being built on Fremont street. Main Street looks real nice now except for it's full of people living in shopping carts and sleeping in wheelchairs.o_O

$26, yeah, that's about what I can take out of the bubble, in one session. :)

I am impressed with how often you take some money out of the casinos and of course am pretty sure its because you have an excellent idea as to how to minimize the forces working against you at play.

Obviously, we can't win all the time.

Did you run into any Vegas board members this time?

You know, I gotta laugh about Vegas. The Mrs. has no interest in gambling, but now SHE is the one to set up all of our trips there. Apparently she likes the shopping, shows and weather?? She sure as hell doesn't gamble.

She will insist on staying on the strip and that is fine with me.

Next time there, I'm going to live at the Cromwell hoping to get going with the big odds. Did you play any there this time? Seem to recall that G said he plays there.

None this trip. TDV and I texted several times but our schedules didn't mesh so we were never at the same place at the same time.

Didn't make it to the strip this trip. The wife really likes Bingo at Red Rock and Santa fee with the perk that they both have games I like so we played there most of the time. I use Vegas to get my pitch blackjack fix since at home the closest double deck pitch game is a 2 1/2 hour drive. The strip doesn't have much pitch Blackjack any more and CET doesn't offer double after split on their double deck. That makes the off strip properties much more attractive to us.

We went to Arizona Charlies Decatur for the first time this trip. The food is real good. We both had $5.99 steak and eggs in the cafe. Service was excellent there also. Only gambling we did there was a few dollars in a slut. The casino floor is kind of dark and dated. We walked by the craps table and the pit critter was outside the pit chewing on a players ear and not in a good way by the way it looked. They may be a sweat joint or maybe the player deserved it. I didn't see what warranted the speech from the pit.

I've played at the Cromwell several times. I like it except for the occasional drunk club patron that staggers by. Usually $10, sometimes $15 tables.

We don't win all the time, lol. I still feel bankroll and managing it is the most important aspect of the game. I play a very conservative negative progression if losing. $100 buy in $5 units, lose that go to a higher unit bet with $200, etc. etc. Get a roll long enough to get even or ahead and back down to the base unit. That's one of the reasons I like the bubble so much. If I want, I can raise my bets by $1, $3 units etc and not get chumped by short pays like you would on a table. Usually 3 PSO's or real short hands in quick succession is my trigger to raise my bets.

A $500-$1000 buy in with a win of $200 or less is a pretty common theme with my play the past couple years. Sometimes it may be only a few dollars. Sometimes I can catch a long roll at the right time and make quite a bit. If the wife comes by and says she won a couple hundred and where I'm at makes us net positive, we bail even if it's only a couple bucks ahead. There's days where I go home several hundred down too. I just pick up my betting at the unit size I left off the trip before the next time and as soon as I get a roll that makes me even, it's back down to my base bet.

Currently the wife and I are stuck in a rut where one of us wins and the other loses. Hoping to break out of that soon.

I have NOT found a winning aystem, & NEVER will. Your only hope is to play Smart. Accept the small wins, & play for keeps. Your other alternative is to learn to influence the dice ( Good luck with THAT) enough to make the game long term profitable.

Craps is certainly fun when ya get those 2-3 hits, lock up the win, & just shoot for the point.....KNOWING that you have a profit in the rack.

Of course it doesn't always work out THAT way, but " salting away" the early profits in a hand.......sure does feel.......G-O-O-D!! Lol

Funny thing is that the guys that I witnessed during my latest Casino visit were the ones saying: " Ya need to Press your bets. Be more aggressive. Don't worry about the Seven-outs.

Well.....when I colored up with a profit.......They were ALL " Busted up", & either.....heading towards the exit, or the ATM machine.
