Based on a $5.00 Fire bet.

    4th point established
Pointless to hedge such a small bet after 3 points are made and 4th is established.

    5th point established
If you have 4 made, and say the 5th point is a 10... reinvest your Fire bet profits ($125.00 on 4-5-6-8-9 but hedge 50% on the 10 ($1250 if it gets rolled or get paid on whatever amount you hedge not greater than 50%) Either way you playing for free and winning on both sides.

    6th point
Don't be afraid when the 5th point is made and the sixth point is in play... Go all out because you have 5K to work with. Re-invest whatever casino money you can. Example if 10 was the sixth point, Hedge that bad boy for 2500, then place $200 on each of the other numbers and make money.

Quit playing scared. You can hedge a 6 or 8 but you are crazy to hedge a 4 or 10 and cut into your potential profit that way.

There's nothing wrong with hedging. especially if building bankroll is a consideration.

Also remember that you have to pay taxes on a six pointer unless you have enough deductions to file long form. The standard deduction doubles in 2018. If you're in a state with high state taxes you may be money ahead after taxes if you hedge and hope the sixth point doesn't hit.

This situation will occur about once in 5000 come-outs, so don't hold your breath waiting for it. The Fire bet is a completely ridiculous, and very well attests to the fact that many craps players, just cannot resist, a total, "sucker bet". A bet that hits at the minimum level only about once in 140 come-outs, which pays a whopping, 25 FOR 1. If you had made five to the fire, and now need to hit, and then make the 10, you would still have only about a 5% chance of completing a six to fire. This bet really does SUCK! :) TD.

There were several here telling us how "great" the fire bet is....yet those same people claim the come bet sucks.

    Jumping ship, duck boy?

No problem....we welcome climb aboards back on. Just know you are back to steerage class until you prove worth. I hear the porridge is to die for;)...ask James.

In my opinion the come bet DOES suck, and so does the Fire bet, when did I ever say different, Dingleberry? That IS what the "D" stands for isn't it? :)

Were you able to stay in a "row" back in those younger days? Or were you that "adorable" little duckling swimming in circles?

I've seen the movie a dozen times at least, and I do not remember that scene. Always thought it was a comedy? :(

I was never one to follow the crowd. I made my own decisions, and I live with any consequences, and blame nobody but myself. That's the way it is. :) What's done, is done.

But for what reasons? That might be the question you should ask yourself Jimmy.
