Whenever I walk up to the craps table, I usually empty my wallet and hand the money over to the box and then leave.

So...on the come out, 28 ways (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12) to lose part of your total bet against 8 ways (7, 11) to win something, but when a 7 is immediately rolled, the result in a very nice profit even after the vig.

How often do you bet this way when you are the shooter?

On a \$5 table, how much are you laying the 4 & 10 for? \$11, \$21, \$41 or some other amount?

Thanks.

That's ONE way to look at -

ONLY 1 way to LOSE 1 BET ( Lay Bet ) - discounting the PL wager is the " Price to do Business - Shooting the Dice "
-

You could win ALL 6 lay bets with a " 7 " - BUT - ONLY lose 1 to the established point number -

The MIN amount wagered is \$30 against EACH box number with a \$1 vig for EACH \$30 wager -

The 4 and 10 pay \$15 / the 5and 9 pay \$20 / and the 6 and 8 pay \$25 !

THIS works on a \$5, \$10 OR \$15 table -

I bet THIS manner MOST ALL the time when I and my wife shoot -

EXCEPT on layouts where a " 7 " kills ALL Feature Bets -

Such as the ATS, Repeater and other bets - the Fire Bet is not prone to losing on a C/O winning " 7 " !

\$...eE..\$

P.S. - Your " EXPECTED WIN " on a bet MUST EQUAL or EXCEED the TABLE MIN -

i.e. - On a \$5 Min table you could effectively wager \$10 - however the MIN that the box will accept is more like \$20 - primarily due to the vig !

Thanks. Once in a while I'll lay the 4 or 10 on a come out roll when someone else is shooting, but for the most part I'm a PL & place bettor.

I have a similar, though far less aggressive, strategy up my sleeve for use in very specific circumstances. I am normally a \$10 bettor, but when the stars align (mathematically speaking of course, Basic Sevens) I'll go with \$20 Pass, \$10 Whirl, and lay \$300 [sic] each no-5, no-9. When a point gets established the lays come down, I take PL odds to taste -- depends on whether I have had any comeout sevens or shot myself in the foot -- and obviously try to make the point. Sometimes I pocket some black; sometimes I have a limp for a while.

Your system of how you feel at the time strikes home with me. A page out of my book so to speak. I like your common sense thinking on most of your posts. Rock on OAP!

Play lowish vig bets ( either side) that give you the most fun.....sprinkle in an center table bet on the chance you might catch lightning in a bottle. You need to balance fear of loss with the greed gene in your bettiing. You need to be smart and disciplined and lucky. Don't ever say..." that can't happen" .
