This would be a good project for one of those woodworking programs on PBS, altho it would take more than one half-hr. session. The other thing, of course, is I'm sure PBS does not want to be seen as "promoting" gambling.

Grizzoola - I love watching the New Yankee Workshop!!!

Well today was a lot more "other" things than working on my table! I got caught up helping a neighbor with some stuff and then decided to practice DI for about 2 hours, then run here and run there! Whoa! But I did get some rails cut, and they look DAMN good! I aided the router process a bit by cutting relief cuts where the chip grooves would be made by the bit, this helpd the router and the bit not work so hard! I also lowered the table height by 3/4", you can't see it, but I took the leg leveling hard ware off the bottom as I felt it was just a tad bit to tall. It feels much better now!

Well the chip rails are all cut out except for 5 corners… I’m not sure the corners are coming out like I want them to. I still have to square the edges of the corners to the edges of the straight that but up against them. Once that is done I will glue the ½ divider to one end of the corner. The corners look just OK compared to the straight corners. My radius template was a little off and that caused a bit on non-smooth routing for the chip grove. I an almost considered just padding the corners with foam and vinyl but I think I’d regret it later. I will work on the arm rest extension piece that goes behind the chip rails next time, and start fitting foam and seeing how the vinyl will look. If I could find walnut chip rail corners I’d probably buy them.

Well did something for my table today that was a little less crafsmenship'ish I made some sign vinyl signs that I will put on some clear acrylic for my table! The only thing I over looked was to add the fire bet min and max bet amounts. So I will probably re-do these at a later time. I made two types of signs, the one that has more detail was an older photo I saw on the internet from either the old Frontier or the Stardust in Vegas, the other is just a simple sign like I see at my local.

So today being a holiday I am committing to working on the building of the table again… I have really fallen into “practicing on the table” lately. I’ve attached screen shots of a few things. 1) An Excel Sheet I programmed to track my dice rolls and screen shots of how it looks during use, and 2) My results from an hour long session yesterday late evening, not sure if they are good results or not? I hope to have good progress on the table today and will have photos later tonight (I hope)! I’m going to continue adding features to the program such as dice pitch results and stats as for how the dice landed and if they pitch and how much. I am current adding a betting option that will show results back for if you would have been betting win/lost etc.

Your project is coming along nicely.

What program is that, that you're using to track 'em???

I always look at my Box Numbers to 7's ratio.
To ME, SRR is basically pointless, because there could be a LOT of Craps Numbers in THAT calculation.

    Have you tried BT w/DT???

ben - It's my own creation! I designed it in Excel with VBA coding. Since taking the screen shots I've added SRR & BSR, as well as Rolls between 7's, craps on Come out, 7's on Come out etc. I have tried BT, it's a great program and very nice, lots of info. I just wanted kind of my own thing I guess!

Thanks everyone or the comments! I ended up taking yesterday and cutting out new rail bases for the ends and sides. Why???? Because I wanted them to be perfect. That turned out to be an all day project. Mu original ones were just a bit off, even though my chip rails would have masked this defect. I just didn't like it. So now I will get back on the chip rails, and the padded hand/arm rest. I did get the drink rail cut out but didn't go any further. I still have the old felt on and will not fit the new fire bet felt until ALL construction and staining are done!
