is the forum mortally wounded or does it have sepsis, gangrene and just require some amputation?

Numerous members have cast doubt on the life expectancy of this forum.

Will it’s death be slow and agonizing or more merciful like Dr. Kevorkian?

Too bad we can’t wager on it?

Let’s say an over under of 6 months?

The only other now-inactive forums I have been on were Usenet newsgroups. Their death was relatively quick, taking maybe three months during which I think I only rarely checked into them. The problem they had was the platform: it became obsolete, and the forums were taken over by spambots.

If this forum goes dark I'm thinking it will do so because of the resource limitation. This morning, with 83 users online as I type, it's running smoothly, which IMHO makes a prognosis a coin flip. If the problem has been permanently solved, or even if it has not but occurs only sporadically, forum traffic may decrease, but I don't think it will die completely, unless Jacob abandons or closes it. Rec.gambling.craps is still around, but the latest non-spam thread was started three weeks shy of three years ago.

    The site is responding well.

So I think the forum will survive but perhaps Jacob should consider some advertisers to generate income for his necessary admin time.

Or a link to amazon.com, that we, the users of the crapsforum, will use when shopping, that link will give him a commission on our purchase's...like the website http://youcanbetonthat.com/ among others most of you are already familiar with.

All the other gambling/vegas sites have ads...not that I like it, but it is the way of the net.

I really like this site, believe it or not, it did teach me the game. It's the only game at the casino I enjoy playing. I sincerely believe I can win it's just deciding when to step off.

As far as all the drama goes, meh, 'it don't mean nothing'...

...this craps site still remains a most pleasant distraction from the crumbling world around us.

No matter what, I'd still rather step up to a table/bubble with any one or all of you if circumstances permitted.

I too would welcome the opportunity to share a table with anyone here, both past and present, with very, very few exceptions.

Dang, I thought this thread was going to be about the end of the world.

I believe the forum will survive unless Jacob decides to pull the plug instead of passing the torch when he decides it's time to end the session.

Personally, I wouldn't want the headaches. Maybe LID would be interested?

    This is Barney,

The LID has enough headaches from his wifes. His old wife wanted him to retire from the gambling so he got divorce two weeks ago and is now on cruise ship with his newest bride and the dicenator as well as the Mr. and Ms MP.

In case this fourm of the craps does experience fatal constipation again, personages could migrate to my bestest new friend the Mad Professors website at https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/diceinstitutemxf/ Currently the website gets about one post per three months usually from the most greatest Dave Guagamole or the fingers pressure personage th Dice Mechanic. Even the greatest Superprick got boot few months ago from the MP after about two days after joining forum and making his first post. He posed as a sock puppetter as the Supperick #2. That forum is about the BS dice personages so all in this forum would fit in well except those that have pisses the MP off very much from previous postings or stalking episodes.

Jacob has done a remarkable job putting this site together and monitoring it over the years.

My guess is that more important things are keeping him from the site. He might be interested in turning it over to someone interested in and capable of keeping it running.

I'm guessing that the site might be nearing its end.
