Ok here is a break Bet the math of the game , bet pass line with odds , the 6 and 8 then 2 come bets with odds that's a fun way to play , I see people do that all the time The only VOODOO in gambling is LUCK
Many on this board are into , "structured betting strategies" making the same bets over and over regardless of what the dice are showing because that's what their strategy dictates I like to be able to adapt and adjust depending on what is happening , depending on the outcomes , betting what the dice are giving me I find that approach more rewarding but to each his own
James I don't like the come bet because it is a leading bet as well as a bet that goes against a reasoned approach to craps. Let me explain.... first lets at you have a limited bank roll and buy in for $200. You have a pass line bet and triple odds... and then a come bet with triple odds and a second one with triple odds...you have $60 or can have almost 30% of your buy in on the table in 3 rolls... the table better be hot right away or your done... This nonsense about well you have to consider the come bet has an advantage when you place it....pure sheep dip.....you have about an aggregate 11% advantage on you come out flat bet which is about $.55 return on your bet and then when it is placed and you have $20 at stake your a huge underdog... The idea of charting the table or at ;east paying attention to what is being thrown a lot goes out the window with a come bet because you have no idea what number it will land on. The only benefit to comes bets I can see Is if your going to use them all the way across, cover every number. That way you get paid on every number that hits.....that also means you have every number covered when the 7 hits. In the end a player has to play the way that best fits your bank roll. tdb
The come bettors aren't complaining about those placing or buying bets. Nor are they complaining or deriding the place bet. To each his own. From a personal play point of view...any wager you choose can be your preference or "better" bet. The only other way to gauge the bets is the EV. The place bettor has the same problem. $60 in place bets at risk of 7 just like 3 come bets with odds. If the 7 hits early...after 1 or 2 rolls----a come bettor will recoup some. Not so with the place bet as all are wiped away. The place bettor is more at risk on an early cold table than a come bettor. Obviously an early hot table can benefit the place bettor more.
