You, two guys, are something else I give you a direct quote from the Wizard and you say to go ask him about what he wrote! It's right there in the post that I made to you two, but Oh, no, you know more than he does! The only reason I'm on this board is to laugh at the two of you.
Everything that I post that comes from a book on the math of the game or someone like the Wizard you say is wrong. My god man how many years did you say that you dealt the game?

I'll surmise this is the same book telling you a place bet is a better EV than a come bet. Throw your book in the garbage. It's feeding you a lie.

I don't see why you would have to ask about dice setting at the table. Just buy set the dice and toss. I would think they would either laugh at you when you have a shitty roll. I bet if you observe for a few minutes if there is people setting the dice then they don't care. Which I imagine is most places and I haven't been to a place where they cared yet or gave heat. I still think the box has asked you to follow the rules and one doesn't follow and they get shit for it.

In the short session, you are absolutely right....variance swamps the HA in the short haul.

The EV of a bet is just used by the player in selecting the best bets to fit his goals for that session is all.

"Expected loss" is mostly a casino view thing......what the aggregate of all players are expected to lose to the casino over time. The individual player is more subject to variance than HA,

Make one pass line bet, and you either lose the whole thing or win the whole thing....max volatility. But make a thousand pass line bets, and you should be expected lose about 1.41% of that total bet handle.

Typically I wouldn't ask about setting either...unless I had concern or was told by someone they don't like or want or hassle dice setters. Then I might ask just to clear it up from the getgo. If they told me "no problem...then, after 15 tosses...a dealer suddenly said "no setting"---I would refer to my original query. If he shrugged his shoulders (basically telling me FU)....I'd say "cash me out, I'll never be back"....

You lie and twist everything to suit your own reality.

I never said the Wizard was wrong, his "combined" theoretical overall EV on a pass line bet and the odds portion is correct......but misleading if anyone thinks it has actually changed the EV of the pass line bet its self!

He would be the first to agree with that, and if you read the article very closely, you will see that he always says, "combined" EV.

Rick, you have no, or very little, understanding of the mathematics of the game and probabilities. And that is very evident to anyone with a grasp of basic mathematics, that reads your innumerate posts.

With the strategy I use...a negative progression, and parlay all wins one time, I have a 90+% session win rate Since adopting this "scheme", so far, I am net positive using it. A very high expected win rate!

You know one might think that but such is not normally the case We actually do pretty well LUCK and VARIANCE is not even in our LEXICON
We follow the "MESA MAGIC MODEL"
"TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS BUT TRUST IN YOUR TRAINING"

one time a couple years ago , I got on the table at MGM Grand , got the dice threw got a point then 7nd out
had not played the table , didn't like it
went over to what is now the Link PSO
over to Harrahs my favorite table in all of Vegas
held the dice quite some time , cashed out a bunch
went had dinner then we went out to the M , Two of the Mesa guys were there
Randy was throwing , got on the table made a bunch on his roll
John had a roll my daughter had a roll quite a profitable trip
We had no need to continue play , We saw a couple shows drove around visited some folks we used to be neighbors with
after that trip we didn't have to go back to Vegas for awhile
I used to go to Vegas between 12 and 20 times per year
I have had some really good wins the last couple years so I have not needed to go so much
mostly just fly over with Parker and Leon sometimes just for the day
It is highly unusual for us to lose , but when we do we nearly always get back up before leaving
I think the worst we have done is ,, UP ABOUT $500 ,
Two of the Mesa guys are in Vegas today and tomorrow

Well...at least 2 of them make it up here every 6 months. You included yourself in that group that was coming here today.

Let me guess...you needed more practice so you stayed in Mesa.
