Most DI ers are concerned about betting their numbers they feel they have an advantage over.Fine no problem with that.Or maybe you should just concentrate on avoiding the 7 and bet what the table is giving you.Yes sometimes I get caught between the 2 approaches.

One not get caught in the results of your most recent session and the to match your betting to it in the latest Bonetracker results.Might be like chasing your own tail so to speak.

Then again how many DI ers actually have signature numbers? Looking at various forums one wonders. There seems to be a fragile ppl recipise where DI ers try to maintain their balance.
Then there is the all knowing math crowd _ " Bet with Max odds kind of thing and forget about bankroll protection.Yes you DIers do not have it easy!

Speaking about chasing one' s tail.Wonder how DeMango deals with his ever changing Bonetracker results. He has been kind of quiet lately.BTW Missthis1 you put out a come bet you better take odds signature number or not.Could not believe your post on that other forum.

    Dave G Ct.,

If one is not hitting their #'s, as you point out above, it's Back to the ""Drawing Board"" So to Speak!

If your practice verifies your original results; then there is likely a difference in that Casino's Table Vs Yours. Look out for Excessively Bouncy Tables & or Biased Dice, both of which could be responsible for your getting different results in casino Play Vs your practice.

Exit that Casino & look for one where your practice matches your Casino Results. Good Luck, as it can't hurt!

Hi Dave: I always take at least $25 odds on every come bet because I don't have to pray my wife hits on the slots to give my bankroll an IV injection.

Instead of trash talking think about the logic of that as far as surviving the up's and downs of the game. The lower your bank is the more important it is to play a more solid game like come bets or place to come. If you're placing the 4 and 10 for less than buy amounts, odds are the house edge is greater than your DI edge

Anybody who plays a come bet and does not take odds should give up the game.I did not take a cent from my wife's jackpot.Did not need too.BTW she hit for $1300 last week. However she has chided me for not winning big at dice!!!

Lay off on the odds does not mean do not take odds. It means take as much as your bankroll can comfortably stand. That will be a different number for different people.

Let's assume a $5, 10x odds game, the 10 is the number you feel you toss the most and the 5 is the number you feel you toss the least. Would it make more sense to put $50 odds on the 10 and $30 odds on the 5 or would it make more sense to put $40 on the 10 and $40 odds on the 5?

On that point I do agree. But they were talking about signature numbers.Say your best numbers are 6&8 and your come bet goes to the 4. The impression I got was that you would forgo odds and leave it naked.Wait for the 6&8 and place Max odds.
I can see putting Max odds on the 6&8 but you need to place " something" on the 4.

Is your win goal $75? If so, I would suggest $35 odds on the 10 if that is the point. If the 5 is the point, then 47 odds. Oh, and make the point.

My response was to the original posters question as an answer that would encompass most people.

My ultimate goal is to walk up to a table, place a $1K pass line bet, toss a seven, color in and go do something fun.

It's still a work in progress.

I have to take partial exception to your statement. There are times I do just that. Every month I receive a Match Play coupon (valid on even money bets only), usually for $50, occasionally for $100 or more. Sometimes I use the coupon as a Come Bet after I have a good bit of money already on the table -- say, $300. I view it as basically a hedge against a next roll 7. Certainly I don't want to "win" the Come Bet on a 7 (11, of course, would be great). If the Come Bet (with Match Play coupon) travels to a new (e.g., no existing Place/Buy bet) Box Number, then I don't add odds since it is basically a $100 (or $200) bet at that point.

Random: Are your coupons pay and take or play till you lose?

The ones here are pay and take. I wish they were play till you lose. If they haven't changed recently Harrah's in Kansas City has excellent coupons. If it wins they pay the bet and convert the coupon to chips too.

If the (even money) bet is a winner, the Match Play coupon is exchanged for a like amount in chips. The chip portion of the bet is paid off in the usual manner.

Harley has a difficult time keeping track of his numerous sock puppets and what they’ve been spewing. Isn’t there an app for that?
