    Seven Out,

I have thought for a long time now that it IS possible to make money playing craps. That is, to be "ahead of the game."

No, we can NOT use craps as a sole or primary source of income. It is negative expectation and provides for very easy ways to lose money (damn that seven).

The only near certainty with craps is that it is very likely you will either win or lose.

I have never done well playing the "typical" game, that is, with multiple bets in action, and a willingness to press nearly all of the time. This sort of play shows that the seven displays too frequently for it to be successful.

I have found that you simply need to get lucky enough to see a nice long string of continuous winners. If so, you can structure your progressions in a way that is aggressive enough to get out a very large bet, while still retaining enough of the winnings to show a nice winner even with that eventual loss on what was your largest bet.

Since consecutive winners WILL happen every now and then, I think it smart to increase aggressively when playing with earnings, in an attempt to take them for as much as you can.

Speaking only for myself. I certainly hope this isn’t your swan song. Much is to be gleaned and considered, difficult at time I know, but I do like your prospective on things, although I might not fully agree with you.

IM curious about the construction, are they building a highway over pass to avoid going thru the center of boulder city?
I never went south enough last trip, only to 95 south on our way to Laughlin.
Ill try looking it up if no one explains it.

The new Interstate 11 - runs adjacent to I 93 /95 from just North of Railroad Pass casino, runs just South of your shooting range and skirts Boulder City to the South and brings you out to I 93 on the Nevada side of Hoover Dam.

Henderson begins in the vicinity of The I 95 intersection at I 93- and runs North on Boulder until Russel Road -

Las Vegas begins at just North of Russel Road - The East Side Cannery, Longhorn Casino and Sam's Town are in Las Vegas.

Below is a link to Google Maps showing the area in question !

I discussed it with my wife and now I remember last year when we go to pro gun range down silverline road its all construction, they were building an overpass, this year I believe the overpass was constructed, last year only walls.
I didn't realize it was going south around boulder city, on google maps you can see the dirt road and how it loops around and meets up near the dam.

I wonder how all the small tourist shops lined up when you first drive into boulder city, is that 95 or 93 south? with all the tourist goodies are going to do if people going to visit the dam or on to arizona bypass the town.
I bet a lot of those shops depend on people forced to drive by before the bypass.
we actually missed the exit for 95 south because of the construction and there was no sign at the exit, so had to make a u turn and go back.

Exactly ! 93 heads towards Hoover dam / 95 heads towards Laughlin at the fork in the road -

As I said earlier - this could be an " albatross around the neck of Boulder City " disguised as a " Godsend " !

    Time will tell !

Kind of reminiscent of that adage -

" Be Careful of What you Wish for " !

Yes - I am MOST certain that ALL the asbestos which is embedded in the sand/ soil which is being disturbed due to the on-going construction -

Will be a definite " BENEFIT " to the residents of Boulder City -

As where the nuclear bomb test tests which were conducted in the Las Vegas area during the early 60's and 70's -

Funny that this area has a water shortage - YET - construction crews are required to spray water onto exposed soil in order to reduce the likelihood of asbestos contamination from spreading from beyond the construction site -

HOW fucking LAME is THAT idea !

Water is the best solution and about the only one for asbestos in such an environment. For asbestos to harm you, airborne particles need to get into your lungs. Water prevents those particles from getting into the air to begin with.

if the previous administration was still running things, their no common sense EPA would have condemned the city and made everyone relocate.

I had heard about the asbestos issue...but then it just kind of died and construction continued. Initially, the city was worried about the particles and I remember some calling into question the completion of the project.

Regardless, I think it's a win situation for Boulder City by having this loop. There will be some trade offs...but anything to get those 18 wheelers out of the city is probably a good thing.

This is true, a spike in mesothelioma cases, is small price to pay, to allow easier access for, out of state, casino patrons and vendors?  In a conflict, that pits "money" against the well being of a relatively small group of people, "money", usually wins. Ask any Native American. And now, the shoe is on the other foot, how ironic.

It’s actually pretty easy to win at this game...the problem is that almost everyone in this game lacks the control you need to leave when you start losing. I’ve seen tons of times people lose thousands and stay trying to turn it around. Me? Hell I lose 200-300 I’m out, but I can profit that with 1 hand on another day, hell one time I made 2300$ with 1 hand starting with 15$ invested...

Everybody can win in this game, but not big everyday.

Another problem is expectation of win amounts! Most gambler's aren't happy with 20% returns on their money, but they'll gladly accept a 3.5% return from a Money market account! Go figure!

There ya go Freddy! Get the money, & leave. No sense in sticking around, & giving it all back.

Dice Influencers & empty tables: Ya hear it all of the time. "I'd prefer to have a table all to myself". Empty tables for the talented shooter is the way to go, but you must proceed very cautiously.

Toss too fast, & for too long, & you're probably not gonna like it. When I am at a empty table, I want to "take my sweet time" ( without pissing off the pit boss), & toss the least amount of times as possible, trying to maximize each, & every toss & color up.

But, but, but.......you're a Dice Influencer ( Mechanical Tosser), you should want to toss the dice as many hands as you possibly can.
Nope........Only James Hall does THAT! Mr. Hall is the only Dice Influencer talented enough to toss solo for an hour or so, & take the Casino's money. Lol
