Just go to Wizard of odds website, all you need to know.
Good question, typical TDV "non-answer" .
At Craps, the Pass and Come bettor is a 2:1 favorite for one roll at come out. Because there are no come out craps in Crapless, this surrenders the ONE AND ONLY ADVANTAGE that a Do bettor has.
The house edge goes from -1.4% down to -5.4%, worse than roulette.
The "best" bet on a crapless table is the -1.52% place 6 and 8.
There are NO don't bets available on a crapless table, simply because the odds of winning it are so good that the lay amount would show you how ridiculous the odds against winning playing Do actually are.
Make the bets you describe, but make them on a craps table, not crapless.
I could be wrong and do not claim to understand the almighty and the divine, but I am guessing that the good Lord does not involve Himself in our gambling adventures.
With that said, I'm leaning towards luck and/or karma being the source of our results.
Of course it could be DI.
Last spring the wife to be and I were flying to Vegas and another professional bullshitter was hitting on the flight attendant telling her he was a big time professional gambler and he could stay anywhere he wanted in Vegas but he CHOSE to stay at Circus Circus. Everyone in the back half of the plane who had been to Vegas a time or two started laughing. lol.
The only place I know of in Vegas with Crapless craps is the Stratosphere. Maybe that has changed since I made the mistake of going to Circus Circus in 1999 and haven't ventured there since.
Well I believe you are right about the Almighty he has enough to do that gambling is very low on his list of priorities
I on the other hand find it very difficult to accept a loss without doing anything or everything I can to influence a result
As far as LUCK is concerned I have never found anyone who could explain fully enough to me
what the SOURCE of luck might be or how and who is controlling it . What must a person do to get some ?
What I have found is
"The more I practice , the luckier I get"
If I felt that I could have NO CONTROL over winning or losing I would never play the game
That's my understanding. Maybe the old Las Vegas Club or Plaza downtown had it at one time.
Went to Circus Circus one time...in the 1970's on a family trip. Don't remember much.
People say the Steakhouse is top notch. Beyond that, I don't hear anything good. If the rooms get updated, it's only because another MGM property got updated and Circus Circus gets their "hand me downs".
High Roller James Hall would fit in well with his $42 bankroll.
No! It is not the come-out, where the player surrenders a greater edge. The come out naturals are 6/0 in the players favor. 4 numbers play differently in this game. 2, 3, 11, 12, and it is on the settlement of these numbers that the difference, is realized. In the normal game these numbers "net" the player -2 units. -4 on the crap throws +2 on the yo's. In the crapless game the net results for the numbers 3, and 11, is -2 units, so the extra H/E in essence, is realized on the the settlement of the 2 and 12. Each of these numbers "nets" a -.7143 units. So 2 x .7143= 1.4286 units times 2.777= 3.97 units lost per 100 come-outs, plus the original 1.41 units lost = 5.38 units lost per 100 come- outs. But the Come-out roll itself, is 6/0 in favor of the player.
You lost me at "No"...
The Baron is actually correct. I was trying to keep it simple.
Instead of 33% immediate settlements, crapless takes you to 17%, all of which are favorable.
It is the 16% of the come out results that transfer into the "sometimes won, sometimes lost" delayed settlements that give the game a much worse player expectation since these additional 16% are almost always lost.
They will be very good when they win.
I don't like the game, but to each his own.
The NO! Was to KKJs post which stated that the crapless bettor was giving up his one roll advantage on the come-out roll, because there were no crap rolls? This is not true, and in fact the crapless player has a 6/0 advantage on the come-out instead of the usual 8/4 advantage.
It's the crack cocaine of craps, once you're hooked......picture a bought $35 12. When it hits, pays $210 minus $1 vig!!
What is your strategy for playing?
For crapless, strategy involves not playing.
For craps, it's one bet at a time, either P or C, possibly DP or DC. Parlay all natural winners, take or lay odds on all delayed decisions, with aggressive progression on winners.
Plan on: (1) mostly boredom, (2) minimization of losses, and (3) an occasional very nice win.
I have waited over a year and finally something fairly intelligent rolls out of the largest orifice in your skull
"James Hall would fit well there" , by gawd you finally hit it ' but then James Hall fits well anywhere
If I have to change the way they do business , I fit well
Glad you understand
What else ya got???
That leaves open some very questionable places Jimmy, and thinking about it, I am sure you are right about the ones I am visualizing.
The TBSHOF being one of those "anywhere" ones.
Can you explain natural winner and delayed decisions?
Some of these TBSHOF things you guys post I have no idea about
Setting a point is a delayed decision, one way or the other
