A winning $25 come bet on the 4 or 10 with double odds. I can't tell you how many times over the years the dealers only paid $100 and not $125. Of course I keep an eye on it and get it quickly corrected, but come bettors should be alert for this.

I have to think that this error is caused by an inattentive dealer's sloppy technique. That bet would be set up as two greens heeled on one green. By any chance do the dealers who screw up prepare to pay it by moving the whole stack to the Come area, cutting into it with three greens, then bridging the result with only a single green? If a dealer is on autopilot he/she might not remember how the now-combined stack was divided and be paying it as $50 flat and 2x$25 for the odds. That is the only way I can think of off hand that any dealer worthy of the title could make that mistake.

The most common mistake I see is paying a $15 flat w/$24 odds Don't Come that went behind 5 or 9. Two dealers out of three want to pay me $18 (instead of $16) on the odds the first time they see that bet. (BTW the reason for the oddball odds bet is that it is the closest I can come to single odds on the odd numbers. which is what my Don't strategy frequently calls for.)

It could be a mistake, but there ARE some dishonest crews. I know of a casino with at least a half dozen dealers that you better watch real close. I’ve even had them miss-call the dice.

I don't really pay attention to how it's paid, only to be sure I don't get shorted $25. It's probably related to the fact that the same bet on the 5 and 9 pays $100 total.
