Yes the table has been choppy- few points being made.Rolls no more than 7-8. A no win situation. Why not lay against the point and bet the 6&8 for 2 hits and remove your lay? Notice rolls getting longer you can forgo the lay and get the 6&8 and regress on first hit.Take 2 hits and down,Point made place the 6&8 table limit and use a press strategy. That is my take.
Have to wonder how you implement a press strategy when you have already placed the 6&8 for the table limit. "Choppy table" implies numbers are not repeating but occasional/frequent naturals are killing a straight Don't strategy. Why not wait for numbers to roll, then lay them, leaving those that do repeat alone? Getting wiped? Pull any remaining Lays and either jump ship to the front side or wait for a new shooter.
Freudian slip, me thinks. If the 6 & the 8 are your numbers, take your place bets to black chip action. As much as you're comfortable with. ("$5 Dave" no more. Ye shall now be known as: Black Chip Dave, temporarily) One hit, you're down. (Putting all that profit in the rack is gonna feel so good) Next shooter. 7-8 roll choppy table solved. After you've mastered level black, on to the purples...then the pumpkins. Leave your progression strategy at the door. Be flexible, fluid. Lesser fools will tell you to slow down, get out. Nay nay. I say speed up - floor it! Get in big & get out. Then, yippidy skip all the way to the bank. Onward & upward in 2017. The thrill is back. Your destiny awaits...Pumpkin Dave!
Dave...What happens if the 6 or 8 is your point. If the average roll is only 7-8, why would you only remove your lay? More people go broke waiting for the long roll on a cold or choppy table. Why do you box yourself in by betting 6/8 only? Many times the 5/9 or 4/10 could be the better bet and the 6/8 is lost. Why box yourself in by laying the point, is there a better number to lay? TAKE what the table gives you! Try to beat every shooter with what the table gives, win consistently on most shooters and forget living for the long roll. If you want to go for the long roll, use their money not yours. After you lock up a profit each dice session, take a small percentage to gamble for a big roll if the conditions are right or just leave with another win.
Six Shooter Maybe I was not very clear. When I take down my lay I also take down the 6&8.Not going for a long roll. Now if the point is 6&8 you have a couple of options. Just play the 6&8 for 2 hits with a regression on the first hit You can lay against the 4 or 10 and take a couple of hits and come down on all your bets. Lay against the point (6 or 8) and place $32 inside for 2 hits and everything down.Would use a HW hedge on the 6-8 lay
Makes more sense to take 1 or 2 hits and everything down. You are still hung up on only betting the 6/8 strategy instead of the repeating number if its a 5/9/4/10. To many times I see the 6/8 disappear or one of them vanish for long periods of time, could be a 6/9 combinations to bet. Just bet what the table gives you and beat them with it.
