I just hand them my card when they ask. A few of them know me by name. I guess when you get to go the cage often they get to know you.

A BUNCH some more than others , several prefer Laughlin , they like the way they are treated
    room rates are good FREE
the others play only Vegas they are treated well also
all the Mesa guys bet quite a bit for the dealers so the dealers like it when they come to their tables

There are thousands of dealers in Las Vegas and last year over 39.3 million people visited them. I'll bet most every dealer in Las Vegas recognizes the Mesa Mafia Trio just as surely as there is a Harrah's Casino in New Mexico!

Knowing when to leave, either winning or losing, is something only you know when it's time....and that has nothing to do with what might have happened.

But you are right, the sooner you quit, winning or losing, is always a good move when playing a negative expectation game.

I make most of my leaving decisions based on utility, what is the money in my rack, or pocket worth to me at that moment. I always leave, or at least most of the time, when the money is more valuable to me than further risking it!

I like your style. It is pretty much the same as mine. I've never bought into the practice of following someone else's opinion, a chart, or a system to the letter. To me it is nice to be comfortable with the results and leaving when the money is more valuable than the risk is just the right time.

I have always said That a 15% R.O.I. IS very respectable playing a Negative Expectation Game! ( I will even take 10%)

However, MOST don't feel that 10-15% is worth their time! Just imagine.......a $300 buy in, & "Walking" with only a $30-$45 win!

WHO DOES THAT? "Old Top" will do it in a heartbeat! As I've said MANY times.........The THRILL IS GONE (tossing dice with grandiose expectations), I just want the money, quick, fast, & in a hurry!

I wouldn't give a shit. No problem for Old Top to PASS THE DICE dead, smack in the middle of my roll, if my win goal is met!

You can find me.......At the "Top"!

Now THAT ↑↑↑ is one of the best posts EVER!!!
    Nice work TT!!!!!!!!

Some of the fools say "I wanna make $1000 with this $100 Buy-In".
Can that happen??? Sure it can, but it's highly unlikely.

What they SHOULD be saying/attempting is, to take a $1000 Buy-In and make it into $1100 - $1200.
Ain't nothing wrong with a 10% - 20% GAIN on your money, now is there??? ;)

You posted , "the thrill is gone , I just want the money"
Back several months ago I posted , "There are two kinds of gamblers , THRILL GAMBLERS , and SERIOUS gamblers , I'M THERE FOR THE MONEY"
the replies I got were unreal
You indicate much the same thing , and you are absolutely spot on
when a person plays for the thrill of the game , they find it difficult to stop , many stop only when the money is gone or nearly gone
the key is to KNOW when to stop , WIN OR LOSE
your post was good advice , that many on this forum should heed

As a matter of fact in Laughlin and Vegas they are always welcomed by the dealers
and pit bosses will usually have a nice word or two for them as they come in
the staff know that they will make some money while the guys are there , in the way money won on bets played for the dealers
our rule is , "INVEST THE DEALERS IN THE GAME EARLY AND OFTEN"
No tightwad , nickle dime crap for the Mesa guys , OUR thing is take care of the dealers
    by winning for them too
So to answer your concern "a lot of the dealers do know them"

my decision is much easier , no decision is actually even necessary ,
Generally I don't bet on other players , I get the dice I go thru my routine , I bet , I throw the dice , when the 7 appears
    up or down I walk
no decisions , no laboring over it , simply put , 7 appears walk

Wouldn't it be nice if computers were as easy to use as a pair of dice?

The funny thing is that you get these really weird looks when you are at a table ONLY 15 minutes, & you walk away with $75!

I have even had DEALERS make comments such as: "that was quick", or (this is my favorite), scared money don't make money)!

Now........you tell me, Why in the fu..k would I want to keep playing if I've made $100 In 10-15 minutes, & I just sevened out?

MY experience has been this......Even after sevening out, & requesting "same Dice", that next hand that you toss is either a "Break even" hand, or a loser!

Call me a knit, coward,or plain old "Pussy", but I am NOT in the habit of giving back profits! Now, there ARE those EXCEPTIONAL sessions wherein EVERYTHING,just seems to "Come Together", but I GUARANDAMTEE you that if you continue to push the envelope.........NUT CLIPPING is in store for you!

For those that DONT have a regulation table at home, you wouldn't understand why I say that practicing dice tossing gets "Old"!

There comes a point in time wherein your toss "plateaus", & either you're gonna win in the Casinos, or you aren't!

Practice can only help you to develop a consistent toss. After this you MUST step into the arena (Casino), & confirm that you are not just wasting your time at home!

In my opinion, practice is a waste of time once you have mastered the fundamentals of mechanical tossing! After XYZ years of home practice, you should be practicing IN THE CASINOS trying to make some $$$$$$$!

All of this bullshit about " it's too costly to practice in the Casinos" is utter nonsense! If you CANNOT practice in the Casinos, WHILST trying to make a few coins.........it tells me that you simply have NOT practiced enough at home!

You can only master Toss Mechanics (consistency, & accuracy) at home! Validate your toss ( or lack thereof) in the Casinos, or STAY AT HOME!

Anyone that TRULY wants to win SHOULD know that "Time" is your worst enemy whilst at the tables! Just look around & tell me how many clocks that you see in the gaming area! THAT should be your FIRST & LAST clue to FLEE with any winnings! Especially those record-breaking 20 minute session wins!

You know where to find me.........That's right......At the Top!
