Based on this sentence, I can see why you and I might have a problem communicating with each other!
Based on this answer I can see why you think like you do. It's choice.
What 777's sentence says is ... How can you argue if you do NOT understand each other.
You seem to argue what you do not understand. This is evidence of that.
For you set!
That's a misprint. Was "Stupid people think you are stupid"
Makes more sense that way don't it.
For some reason I am reminded of the following.
Nothing is static. Everything is in a constant state of change.Things which have movement by nature are preserved & stay together because of it. Movement cannot occur without an inherent opposite, but opposites are not opposed. Yin contains yang; yang contains yin.
A barley drink cannot continue to be a barley drink over time, unless in constant movement. Fire can’t remain fire without movement. A river cannot remain a river, unless it continues to flow. Therefore, it is, and it isn’t. In order for it to be, it must also not be. Or as Heraclitus says: "Changing, it rests".
This post is, and it isn't.
I don't play hop bets, but if I did, I certainly wouldn't hop the 2,3,11 or 12, especially if they are not hoppable .
wow! I should play casino when I visit Singapore again ..
The Big 6 and Big 8 are lost if a Seven is an outcome. Otherwise they play and pay. It is not a one roll wager for an outcome as the Field would be.
You may have meant that, but this clears it up for the one person in a million that plays this wager.
I stand corrected regards this sucker bet - had it confused with the other sucker bet - which is placed in the same area on the layout -
I believe that one is the low and high - where 2 thru 6 is low and 8 thru 12 is high -
THAT is a ONE roll bet - which also pays 1 to 1 -
As the Big 6 and 8 is prohibited from the NJ layouts by law - I am NOT that familiar with it -
ONLY familiar enough to AVOID making that particular bet !
Hop Bets are a target for cheaters, the player will mumble something, the dealer (who's in on it) will book the mumbled bet, and then when X rolls, the mumbled bet magically was for X Hopping, the dealer later presumably gets a cut.
For this reason Hop Bets won't be found at "Tubs" (Craps tables designed to be run by a single person). Typically, if the Casino accepts Hop Bets there will be an agreed upon placement for the bet, most times this is just above the Props Section. Rarely will be an actual place printed on the Craps Layout for Hop Bets, but I have seen a few layouts which have them.
Bottomline, Casino's which offer Hop Bets wisely ensure that there is a supervisor who is present to book the bet, this would typically be the "Box Person" who is sitting at the table.
I worked as a Craps Dealer in Vegas and Chicagoland, if you're interested in checking out Hop Bets risk-free you should check out my iOS app Learn Craps Yo
Nearly every place I have played has an area in the middle where they are marked and placed by the stick.
Big 6 & 8 brought me back from disaster one Sunday.
My wife wanted to have Chinese food before we left Laughlin so we went to riverside when they still had the Master Fu Chinese restaurant. It's gone now.
Being the craps degenerate I was. I only had $15 left and I told my wife I'm not hungry. I'm gonna go play this last $15.
So instead of playing a $6 six and eight I would play the big 6 and eight for 5$.
By the time my wife found me I was up enough to put her in the game.
She won more than I did because she was parlaying her fives and nines. We cashed for a combined total over just $500
When things are going your way, it doesn't matter how you get there. Most people would say that if you made that much money betting the Big 6-8, you should have bet the place 6-8 instead....and they would be right speaking strictly from the value of the two different bets.
But so what, you made a choice, and it worked out great, and I am certainly not going to quarrel with that!
I didn't explain why I did it but it was only for a short time.
I only had $15 so if I lost my 10 I would have one more $5 bet to make. Don't remember what number I would have taken but that was my strategy.
One other time I gave money to someone to join the game was in Vegas at Binions.
My brother and I were playing and winning. He wanted to go eat dinner and I didn't want to leave a hot table.
He left. Came back and I was just about staying even. I told him you left and took the luck with you. I put him on the six and eight for $6 and we took off from there. He tried to give me the $12 back during the game but I told him no way. We're winning.
Sorry I can't put anyone else in the game unless you are little Johnie's aunt with the ten button sweater
