I guess one could be harsh in making the determination of whether to drop money on a seminar being taught by Howard, Heavy, Little Joe, Dominator et al...

"Let me see your casino profit/loss statement."

    They may object or demure.

It's a start. Of course that assumes they have a player card or have been seen getting comps...then at least you know they are in the system.

In my list of priorities....as to "qualified", that is certainly up there. I can easily find Howard Lederer's winnings before I take a poker lesson.

face facts TD the last thing in the world you want to see is proof , the last thin , because that would make you look like more of a fool than he have already been
if someone stood at a table and threw twenty two 10s in a row you would say , TOO SMALL A SAMPLE YOU GOTTA DO THAT FOR SEVERAL THOUSAND ROLLS
no there is no amount of proof that would satisfy you so to undertake that effort would in fact be a fools errand
you have a losers attitude nothing is possible in your world
so I will tell you what I tell others with your same negative view of life and all things craps
    learn to win or quit
random , luck and variance SUCK and those players who rely on those things are doomed to failure
winning at craps , black jack or any other game in a casino requires skill
you can preach all you want against the element of skill , some will follow your logic to ruin , some will pursue skill
guess who will win guess who will lose in the long run
you know the answer you have been on that trail for years , getting no better
just a small little win now and again keeps you in the game
I would love to have the money you have lost over the years

I didn't use the word "proof" or "prove" in my 2 posts.

In order to prove anything or hell, simply have confidence, you have to actually play the game. You don't do that. So, quite simply you cannot even comment on the subject one way or the other. One has to actually play the game once in a while to have credibility on the subject. Credibility is not proof...but it's a start. You have neither.

    Sorry.

    "12-20 times in Vegas".....LOL.
Computer slots in Mesa doesn't qualify.

well you said it yourself and you are right , you are sorry you know TD you keep rehashing that old BS over and over again .
you have no idea what I do or don't do , you try to strengthen your case with BS arguments James doesn't play that does not make your argument it simply makes you look weaker
you can't attack my game because you haven't got a clue about it ' so your only other thing for you is to say I don't play YOU ARE WRONG about that as you are about everything else
your argument is weak and pitiful give it up YOU CANNOT WIN
and one more thing , the last guy in the world who should be throwing that slots don't count
BS around is a one dollar slot craps player

You see James...when you first arrived here, this was your story. "12-20 times I get to Vegas." Later on as we determined this in fact is not really true, we (me) then become suspicious of other things you claim.

This is human nature to some degree. When the initial claim gets refuted or doesn't pan out, we, as humans tend to get suspicious about other forthcoming claims.

For example. My phone just rang and I picked it up (not sure why I did that). Obvious robotic voice.
"Hi, I'm Shelley and I'd like to tell you about an amazing opportunity".....

Me playing along..."you sound like a computer voice"
"Shelley" computer laughs...."Ha, ha, ha. No I'm a real person".

So my first question to this company is you are misleading (in this case lying) to me outright on your very first contact with me. Why on earth would I trust to do business with you on anything or trust anything going forward with you?

You have kind of become "Shelley", James. Your stories aren't adding up. No disrespect intended. Others may feel you have full credibility. That is certainly their prerogative.

    Sorry.

    TD
when I posted that we go to Vegas 12 to 20 times a year that is exactly what was happening
things change nowhere in those posts did I say I guaranteed I would continue to do so
When I get thru with what is happening now one of two things will happen I will get back on that schedule or move back to Vegas
this BS is another very weak argument makes you look petty and very weak
if the fact that I am not playing with the sam frequency that I had been is the strongest argument you have trying to show the level of my skill you are wasting your time
    Tell my about my skill
    Here is your argument
"James doesn't play enough" , that doesn't reflect on my game
now if you said James can't win that might carry some weight
you can't say that so you grasp at any straw you can
Credibility doesn't matter to you , you have created your own reality in your head
GIVE IT UP TD YOU CAN'T WIN THIS ARGUMENT , YOU HAVE NO CASE

From your initial post...You said in effect (I can pull the actual quote)

"I get to Vegas 12-20 times and sometimes more you doubters"...

Sans whatever excuse you have provided afterward...you had the veracity to actually call us doubters when in fact, the doubters, for whatever reason were right.

Let's start new. What are your plans for Vegas from now until December 31?

    If it's all maybe...say so.
    If it's definite...say so.

Perhaps there is a way to resolve this feud. James Hall likes to make money with his skill at craps. Why not use those skills to win $25,000 at the Golden Nugget?

The same caveat could be applied to teachers. They must know WHAT TO DO before they can legitimately attempt to transfer that knowledge to others.
Actually a fool's errand is an attempt to accomplish an impossible task.
Some teachers of precision shooting / dice influencing have claimed that it is veritable child's play and offer as "proof" anecdotes of first-time students bringing down the house at an after glow session. More teachers, however, caution that mastering the skill takes months at the least and realistically a decade or more. Therein lies the rub: it's just too easy to tell the student who has yet to hit the heights that he/she needs to pay for more coaching, tuneups, after glows, and of course practice.

Before committing vast quantities of dollars, sweat, and tears to mastering an alleged skill I want to know the following.
    1. It is an actual skill.
    2. It is an actual skill that can be mastered.
    3. It is an actual skill that can be mastered by me.
    4. It is an actual skill that can be mastered by me in an acceptable time frame.
I can then make an informed choice as to whether or not to put forth the monetary and temporal resources necessary for success. Just because I choose not to commit those resources does not mean I am lazy or searching for variance or waiting for Gudou or accept losing as the price of admission. All it means is that for me the cost exceeds the benefit.
"same old tired sick rhetoric" could be applied to you as well. TDV and I say don't pay to learn anything without some evidence that it is learnable. To date potential providers of such evidence have declined citing presumed negative bias by the observer(s). Posts by both sides, including this one, could start with, "This is a recording."

If you read the qualifier for learning thru trial and error you will find that my point is that is the greatest exercise in futility known to mankind

I would say that probably the best course of action for you and the others would be to accept what ever you have as a game
and enjoy it as much as is possible placing limits as far as your cost of entertainment is concerned
I can tell you this I have been successful as a player and as a teacher , I have people who have stopped the bleeding and are now able to win
by that I mean as we speak they are net positive some by a bunch
you will elect to disbelieve that , as that seems to be the nature of many in this crowd so again I would suggest
give up any thought of improvement probably in the long run it would be too time intensive for some of you
some on this forum are satisfied with riding the coattails of those with the skill
if that makes your boat float , launch that puppy weigh anchor and full speed ahead
you may be right it may be too difficult and too difficult to learn

You are upset when stuff is rehashed because you danced around when it was first brought up and never answered, you thought the matter was dropped and you were off the hook. All in the life of a BSer...
