And that's what the game should be all about!
Liman- DI can easily and clearly be documented as well.....t's not rocket science!
TDV- I don't know anything about bubble craps so I'm not going to comment on your rolls on the BC machine. I do know what is possible on the craps table b/c of what I have tracked over the years and what I continue to track on a regular weekly basis. There are bias dice and they are employed at many casinos across the country. I also believe in variance, "strange patterns" to use your words and balanced dice and bias dice. Are the casinos cheating on purpose???? Well, I think they figure they can get a free pass on this only because they themselves are not the suppliers of the bias die. They buy them from someone else and since there are no strict regulations in place for most states, bias dice exist practically everywhere. Last night the dice were so heavily biased but in a good way they were removed from the table 4 hours early. Usually at this casino, the dice are changed out at shift change but because of the repeatedly excellent rolls, they were scooped out unsuspectingly. All of the players at the table didn't even see it happen....the exchange happened so quickly between the pit boss and the boxman it was almost comical. The pitboss kind of fumbled the dice in her hands trying carefully to hand off the new dice in exchange for the old. Needless to say, the new dice that were installed early proceeded to have predictable PSO under five rolls for 14 shooters. I'll spare you all the gory details of the numbers that were rolling but it was interesting again to see the bias dice in action. Maybe next time I'll try and take undercover pictures of each roll and show you what bias dice look like! lol.
Sorry, I only have time to read about 20% of what is posted on this board, so this may have been addressed earlier - but someone today in Vegas showed me a joke picture and he couldn't keep a straight face while showing me the joke --- it was a picture submitted somewhere on this forum by TDVegas of his Bubble Craps betting screen that showed a Win of $0.00 - a big fat ZERO ....
Well, dear old Harley..this shows how stupid you are and whoever showed you the picture. When my win was recorded, it shows on the win meter and then the win meter resets back to $0 immediately. In the picture you saw (attached), you can see there are 11 seconds remaining (from 20 sec) until the vibration starts on a new roll. The 11 come out was paid and shows on win meter for a second. It then resets to $0 immediately. That's what you see. That picture was taken 9 seconds after the win meter reset to $0. Anything else?
If you have doubts, you can check it out yourself. Tell ya what...whatever you would like to wager on this----name it. Bet accepted. At 11 sec point, win meter reads $0 in ALL cases regardless what was won on previous roll.
This guy is running a seminar on craps? He doesn't even know how the machine works yet feels he can talk about it. Who showed you the picture? LOL. As if I have to guess? Two guys totally unqualified to run a lemonade stand are running a craps seminar?
Now that never entered my mind, because if one thing you have been rather consistent on is that you are a small better. So I just assumed your bets would be small, conservative, nothing exotic.
I would say "wishing you good rolling today", but your not rolling, so here is to wishing you good timing with pushing the button.
"for some reason"? shirley, you jest...
you answered the reason right at the beginning of your sentence...your parenthetical at the end is simply erroneous...i find it hard to believe that you actually think the horn is "a" bet rather than the 4 separate, independent bets that it is...
the reality is i think you do know but are just being lamely sarcastic, "horn" is not a bet but rather nothing more than an admittedly useful term to describe 4 separate bets and dates back to the early days of bank craps when the popularity of these 4 bet together warranted its inclusion on the layout as a matter of convenience (the term itself probably "invented" some time before that by some clever chap) but this inclusion did not change the per bet minimum in any way...your $4 horn minimum is but a case in point...
boringly yours, tom p
Maybe I'm being obtuse or I'm not fully understanding.....
6 months ago this bet WAS $1 (.25 per 2-3-11-12). Now, I fully understand why minimums are set higher on any and all bets....but this particular change was the only one modified from $1 to $4.
I found that change strange. Or should I not? We did talk at the table and the best we could come up with was a shrug of the shoulders....beyond my above noted reasoning.
On second thought it wasn't the only change. The pass/come bets and their ugly twins were dropped from $2 to $1 at the same time.
I think he was talking about some woman named Shirley? Or maybe a guy? Hard to say with these illiterate tea baggers...
Still waiting on you and Superrick to go do your Intel on bubble craps and let us know about the win meter $0.
Don't hold your breath waiting.....sometimes when they are wrong, silence is the best option, whoops, forgot who we were talking about.
What the frick? Where are the dice! I'm not to confident in some holographic simulated dice... What's the world coming too....
He's not talking about either. In fact it is a play on the word surely as in, surely you jest. And of course surely sounds like Shirley but not with my accent.
You should watch the movie Flying High as there's plenty of those gags surely. "And don't call me Shirley".
And having met BTL I can assure you he is far from an illiterate teabagger.
My apologies to Tom P.
I would like to blame my lack of tact on our next president-
I would like to apologize for my crude remarks concerning your use of Shirley. Night Attack was good enough to point out my error in judgment. I will try hard not to repeat my offense, unlike our next president-
The cool fact about smokers. Also... I didn't know that it is legal)
ok...this is not inconsistent at all with what i am saying and is explained by that rather interesting--and versatile--fact that the bubble pays to the penny...so while the payouts are treated correctly (4 independent bets), the bubble can easily deal with anything in this regard...hell, a $1.37 minimum wouldn't faze the bub's payout skills...
yep...a shrug of he shoulders is about the right response, i'd say
sure. might as well get all the changes done at the same time...just guessing but just maybe the trend was too much betting a dollar on the horn anda bean counter may have looked at it and suggested that lowering the line minimum would be more than made up for by more action on the the horn, which after all is not an unpopular bet...all of that is made-up stuff offa the top of my head but you have to admit that it is plausible at least...
ooops...well...um...not quite...i mean, sure, i mighta done that...the joke is only about 75 years old...but...no...truth is it was a freudian slip or maybe a non-freudian slip as while i was typing it i was fantasizing about my sometimes girl friend, Shirley Ursula Jest...Shirley U J and i just happen to be "doing lunch" today
nice (& obviously effective) effort in my defense, however, night-a...'ppreciate it...
For some reason the title of this thread always reminds me of a cowboy movie staring either Jimmy Stewart or the Duke.
You mean this one?
