once more, noone is giving up on any plans this summer, despite the doom and gloom one hears on TV how people cant afford to eat or travel.
every road was packed, every hotel was crowded during weekends...even weekdays the roadside highway hotels we stayed at seemed very busy.
last night, in valley forge, the casino tower was pretty empty not sure about the other tower. casino was not crowded.
my lodging for the month, almost a full month, came in at 11 thousand...thats including the beach house rental. gasoline not totalled yet, but around 700 buck.
I laid out approx 1300 bucks in cash for mostly food. Im sure my credit card bills will come in at around 3 grand for other food and expenses. Feeding 6 of us for the week in florida was very costly, as my kids arent like us, we would eat anything nearby, we dont need to sit and have cocktails, etc....not my children....they went out 4 nights to St Augustine steak houses and higher end restaurants, on my card. who cares. Im just bringing up expenses.

and st augustine was so crowded....so people from all over the world are spending money on vacation. nothing is cheap. food was high most places...service was poor in most places....every business we visited had signs posted or informed us they are short staffed so be patient.

noone wants to work anymore.....the only cure is to drop taxes all together on people earning under a certain wage each year...me, I say under 40 grand, no taxes. state city or federal.

being I didnt lose any money again, and came out nicely ahead, we might get away before school starts end of august, maybe upstate to dellago. or maybe foxwoods in conneticut.
august is a busy month for us, loaded with doc appts, babysitting obligations, parties, bbqs, family shit....weddings, Id rather be in a casino down south, but my fucking family would complain how come I couldnt find time to be with them.

and just as an example.....from july 3rd up until yesterday when we got home, the entire trip ran us approx 17000-18000 bucks. thats including, food, lodging, gasoline, qult stores, and odds and ends, like tee shirts, etc....EZ pass was filled 4 times at 25 dollars each, so tack on another 100 in tolls.
    I think thats pretty good.
me and the wife usually stat at hotels that offer breakfast, and for lunch its usually a salad or sandwich, so we dont spend alot on food. In casinos I use as many points as they give us to help offset food costs if we choose casino hotel.
we did eat fast food for 5 meals.
And ate at the food courts in a few casinos when there wasnt much else.

our food bills are generally light because we dont order any cocktails, we are both non drinkers

but this was the only trip we bounced around from casinos that we did not have any real suites in the casino hotels.

upgraded rooms, but no large 1400 sq feet suites.

That kept cost down a bit also.

Im just posting this is anyone is thinking about a road trip to gauge what it will cost.(included is the beach house we spent 1000 a day on)

Great to see you, your wife and Kokojoe4. Glad you ended up winning big on the other table. I saw your table was cheering so I didn't want to come over and risk crashing your table, lol.

If you visit Chicagoland, let me know. The buffet no longer exists at Rivers Casino (Des Plaines, IL). It's been converted to an a la carte version of the buffet with fewer offerings. Very disappointing, as it was pretty good. Hugo's is a decent steakhouse and is an option. I can get a comp as long as I remain a black card player.

Was in Biloxi over the weekend. Did good on tables at Boomtown and Golden Nugget, not so
good at Harrah's. But came home with a good deal more than i went with.

Met some other players from Cherokee, were good shooters.

Nope i mean good shooters, and there were a number of profitable rolls
including me and my partner. I prefer tables with 1-3 players, i wont play
on a full or almost full table.I tried Beau Rivage a couple of times, not for me, i do like
Golden Nugget, has a nice bounce and Scarlet Pearl is a real fine table to play on.

Im not going to get in to another dice setting discussion, if thats what you mean.
I will say this......dicesetting is what is keeping people at live tables but also discouraging people at same time.

foxwoods, they allow dice setters to fondle the dice like Id fondle a pair of 38 double D size tits(when I was single)
this past trip I was at tables with anywhere from 2-6 dicesetting people.....during the day, Im guessing they like the 10 dollars mins.

I was counting, some of those people were using up to 25-30 seconds to first set dice, then do some ritual, like take a deep breath, step back a foot, then crank their grip, put those 3s into a V shape.....spend 10 seconds getting their thumb and middle fuck you finger just right, then toss......the point 7 outs, I actually started laughing, what on earth do they think?
how the casino is letting them get away with it....slowing the game down to a crawl.....its disgusting and I hope they put a limit on shooters eventually

there are reasons I tolerate it...first....I LIKE CRAPS
second, my sucess lately on live tables matches my sucess at bubbles, all luck ofcourse, but right time right place stuff.
but the biggest reason I play live craps and deal with the people killing the pace of the game is because bubbles dont give any comp points. live tables get me rooms and food comps.
if theyd comp bubbles as well as lilve tables, things would be different.

you already did get into the discussion......you mean lucky shooters, right?

But thats ok, I have learned to live with regular players that think dice setters
are all nuts as they throw their money on the table in the middle of a roll, leave their
hands over the table so they hit the dice, and throw every other shot off the table.
