There was nothing to "gain" or lose Ma'am. Except maybe your dignity, when you resort to that sort of language. Speaking of "dealing" with it, did you and seven out know that that thing that they deal multiple decks of cards out of, is called a "boot". :)

Let me guess: when you're ejected from a casino you are said to have been "shoed out".

More precisely, if a guy gets kicked out, you say, "he got the shoe". :)

Eagleeye I have two questions for you
1 why do casinos remove a bias roulette wheel?
2 and then why would a casino use bias dice?

    yacraps,

    ANSWERS>>>

    1) An observant Roulette player diagnosed the BIAS & began taking advantage of it, thereby costing the CASINO $$$.

    2) To increase the house TAKE!

    3) Dice Bias used by a CASINO, involve INCREASING the frequency of (7's), over the statistically correct frequency of (7,s) for six sided dice, when two such dice are thrown down a CRAPS Table.

    4) Now comes your rebuttal, i.e. why not take advantage of that BIAS cost the CASINO $$$?

    A) One or more folks could do just that, however:

    a) They would have to bet the DON'T Side, which is a GRIND

    b) The CASINO could put STRAIGHT DICE in at any time, as it is it's option, to counter

    c) As typically there are far more DO betters than DON'T betters, the CASINO would still
make more $$$ with BIASED DICE than with FAIR DICE.

OK... worked with Roulette wheels and tables. I still have a Biased Roulette wheel sitting on a coffee table in the living room.

Roulette Wheels are not BIASED in themselves. The dividers are made of aluminum, so they are not magnetic. They are identical.

The player TIMES the Dealer's ball and watches for a group of numbers that he expects the ball to drop. For example 33-21-6-18-31 are a five group. The shooter expects the ball drop into 6. Pays 35 to 1 if the ball drops in one of those five numbers chosen.

    This is called 'wheel timing'.

Several came in and worked up their game at our wheel and table. They obviously were not paying attention, as MY dealers would change the speed of the wheel, and also vary their releasing of the roulette ball. ONLY someone who dealt Roulette would know this. My wife dealt Roulette, Blackjack and Craps and some Let it Ride. All of the dealers knew who these individuals were.

The compulsive Roulette players would pick the felt and make holes in the material. They also tried to add or remove a chip depending if they suspected they were not going to have a win.

I agree with EE2 that the Don't Pass with Odds is a grind. So is working as a clerk from 9 to 5, five days a week. This is gambling, not a grind. There are few ways to win on EXCITING games of chance.

When gambling and alcohol were in 'protected areas of a city' lots of crooked games in 1930's Chicago. Lets say you were cheated while gambling and drinking... do you contact the Police or your mother? This is where the myths begin.

I have seen RIGGED Roulette tables, balls and wheels. You know nothing.

I have seen RIGGED mechanical slot machines and made them honest for resale.

Roulette wheels now have a constant speed and the dealer cannot control it. The dealer CAN control when he releases the ball and what group of numbers HE plans to help someone as a Player. This is called Collusion. Not a dishonest wheel or ball.

The constant spin wheel and controlled ball are MEANT to bring in the Wheel Timers and... help them... win, of course. Misery loves company.

    Back to DICE.

A pair of Dice, with Casino logo embossed and security if they came with it AND... DISHONEST. Take them to the STATE Attorney's office in the state the Casino is licensed. If you are some kind of Bar Fly Dice Bias Expert without any evidence, other than you lost money... who cares.

Offer them to the Casino for a price. They will call the cops, they will come and give your a free ride to their facility for... EXTORTION.

You must think everyone of this Forum are... gullible. LID, aka Barney... is an undercover Casino Investigator. Anyone who knows gaming can smell... literally... someone with a Skunk Hat.

Just in case I am accused of lying about my Roulette Wheel on the coffee table, it is an American Wheel with the 0 / 00, not the British/European with only 0. FYI... DSCN2988.jpg

We believed the part about the roulette wheel, but we think you're lying about the coffee table. :)

Uhh no..but my response is the house will always protect its money so when a loose or worn fret or unbalanced wheel is recognized ( a bias or advantage if you may) the house will obviously correct it... so why in turn would they take a chance and introduce a bias to where they would be vulnerable

No name on the spinner. Evans was big at the time this one was made.

Bought the Roulette Wheel from a guy (Eddie) who was the slot mechanic at the Flamingo when.... MR. Siegal was running it. Circa 1946 or 1947 or so...

Eddie had all the contacts and equipment in his storage building. Bought a U Haul load of Dunes Casino equipment. He took me down to the Strip in Las Vegas... and set me up.

My Gameroom at home and a complete Roulette and Table. Wurlitzer 1015 on 78 rpm records and wall speaker to the right, outside the photo area.

Not only 'playing Indian' but 'living Indian'! Little Big Man movie...
