Waiting for your response can you rent us a conference room
It doesn't have to be a big one ,
there will only be Me , Leon , Gary , Parker
    and whoever you have coming
    Table top mentioned something about
wanting to get in on the betting
As confident as you seem to be , you should
probably take at least the first $3,000 Leon said he would cover that
then there's Parker , Gary and Myself so there will be
plenty to cover whatever bets you want

Next time try ordering less than a hundred ten-piece family meals at the drive-thru.

TDV is getting a tad tipsy here.

I bet the guy $2000 in a 3 day session with 10-15 hands
each day and at the end of the three days we just add up the
number of rolls, his and mine....and then he pays me the $2000.

Simple really, he says no one can have any influence......here was
his chance to make $2000 and get bragging rights forever.

The only I could have won was $2000 then pay for all my costs.

As TDV says he would be a couple minutes away from any casino
    I selected.

This had nothing to with dice control because in the end he could have average 5 rolls per hand and me 5.5 and we would have both been below average. Or I may average 8 over 30 hands and him 10 you never know.

I doubt seriously TDV could average anything above 6 if that
He says , "there is no such thing as skill"
and he says , "People are going to lose"
Then he claimed that he has changed his opininon
    because he talked to Tom"
But he still is of the opinion that there is NO skill in craps
I would love to know how much he loses every month.

Actually in our market, KFC is testing an new AI ordering system which anticipates demand and peak ordering periods. Not sure how it works, but there aren’t any humans in the store. Lots of hot looking robots serving up family meals. So I had no resource limit issue.

I have a plan that might work
So that we both have skin in the game let's test luck against skill
We each put $1200 into a table bank , we each draw
from that a total of $200 to play , leaving a total of $2,000
    in the POT.
We play for a specific period of time , you toss till you 7 out
then I toss We play , each of us betting our own strategy
just as we would were we playing at a working table

We each toss in turn and while the dice are being thrown
At the end of say one hour we count the amount of cash
each of us have at the end of that predetermined time period
The one with the most cash wins , takes his bankroll
and the remaining bank. The loser retains
whatever portion of his bankroll he is able to salvage
That would be a true test of LUCK OR SKILL
    What do you think???

    What's with the nastiness?

This name calling reminds me of SuperRick towards the end of his run here. He got quite hostile.

If you can't present your argument without invective, your argument may not be sound.

Edit: Looks like the part of the post I reacted to has been deleted. Don't want to be a censor, but just count to 10 before posting.

I just had this image of a robber walking up to the counter and demanding, "Give my all your cash." The robot rips out the cash drawer and bashes the robber over the head with it, asking, "Would you like some mac&cheese with that?"

The way that I suggested will actually be a better test
as to whether Luck is the only thing or
whether skill does in fact play a part in winning
If you haven't checked the skill check I recommended
please do so and get back to me . This test will compare
the two theories side by side in an actual must win situation .
We'll call it the Luck or skill final showdown
    This would be ideal because

You believe there is no such thing as SKILL in craps
    You're the luck guy ,
"The math says you are going to lose,
    and the math doesn't lie"

I believe people CAN LEARN TO WIN
    I'm the skill guy
"Learn the game , Learn to influence the dice
to any degree at all , learn to match your betting
strategies to the outcomes you produce , "YOU CAN WIN"

    "THE FINAL SHOWDOWN"
I could see this becoming a magazine article
    or even a TV SPECIAL

    Starring TDVegas Bubble Craps Player
    and
    James Hall Craps Player Extraordinaire
    Any thoughts ?

Yeah....contact Frank Scoblete,,& he'll show you how to become famous, & get your face plastered all over the T.V.

Sounds like something you might/ definitely would be interested in. You can be filmed wearing your bestest ten Gallon Hat, a razor sharp pair of dice depicting: " Mesa Assault Crew", & a big shiny belt buckle that says ( LTWOQ)

    tabletop123,

Typical BS from TT, rather than just accepting the Challenge!

Yes, James has presented a Great Plan, BUT:

Not One of the Nay-swayers will take that CHALLENGE on, as they KNOW that they will Lose!

Your's is not the only invitation he has shunned
One of the past posters on this forum in the midst
of a heated conversation invited TDVegas to come
to a casino and witness him play.
This invitation came after much prodding by TDV to
just come and witness his DI skills
take notes and record the results on this forum
This individual finally did invite TDV
to a casino to do exactly that .
According to the other party in a post to TDV ,
    TDVegas WAS A NO SHOW.

I can think of no way to eliminate entirely, or reduce sufficiently, the effect of luck in a head-to-head skillful player vs. skilless player match of reasonable duration to be able to say with any degree of confidence why the winner won. The game is designed to eliminate skill as a determinant, hence the "skillful" player may actually have merely been lucky or unlucky.

This is very true , the idea to eliminate skill altogether
was in fact the intention but their effort
    has not been totally effective.
Luck | Definition of Luck by Merriam-Webster
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/luck
Luck definition is - a force that brings good fortune or adversity.

So are you saying that LUCK as a force will work
to provide a person success or aid him
    in achieving desired goals.

If that be the case I could understand why
people would not bother to work to achieve skill
    or success
but rather rely upon this , DARK & MYSTERIOUS force to provide.

Or would it be more accurate to view LUCK as pure superstition
without power in other words would luck
be nothing more than an alibi , something to fall back on
when failure was due to lack of effort or preparation??

I prefer the later , LUCK DOES NOT EXIST
It has been and remains a factor for very superstitious people

The reality is , people who rely only on luck
are doomed to failure , that is true in all things
there is no substitute for skill and being prepared for the task at hand.
