Hello guys, I played craps several times in my life and starting to collect info abou them. So I have few questions.

    1. It is really, really possible to have any edge on this game? To influence dice anyhow? And if its possible, how.

    2. Any of you guys playing craps full time for a living, or it just impossible thing?

NOT AGAIN....lol. Saddle up, & enjoy the responses that you get, but please make sure that you're wearing your big boy shoes when the posters start responding!

On a more serious note....JAMES HALL is the only person on this forum that is talented enough to make a living tossing dice.

He is so talented that he only frequents the Casinos when he needs to pay a bill, ie...House Payment, Plane payments Shopping Sprees, etc.

If you travel on down to Mesa, Arizona..he will teach you how to beat the game by betting ONLY $42. He will also teach you how to toss Hard 6/8's, & parlay them into $5,000!
James was trained by a feared Dice Influencer who went by the moniker of "Sydney the Kidney"!...Every Casinos nightmare!

James Pre-post reply: I'm still a little confused by your post. You seem to give mixed emotions, but THANKS for the plug, Mr. Top!
It appears that I am booked all the way through till December 2019, but a person wanting to learn can feel free to read my Daily Posts of Inspiration. Leon, & Parker just showed up, so I might be going to Vegas for a few days.

It's CERTAIN to be a WOW WACKER, Money Stacker!

Well...that’s living to play, not playing to live.:);)

Casino rats are all over Vegas. Scrounging here and there for the next bankroll.

By product of the "industry". If everybody played "smart" there would be far fewer casinos.

You are correct. Just PM me the pictures...ANY picture/s of you at ANY Casino in Vegas.

Wish that I could reciprocate things, but Unfortunately I am just a Keyboard Craps Player. Haven't been to a Casino in quite sometime.

Thought I'd get to Tunica last week, but......Life got in the way!

    All joking aside.
Yes you can make a living at gambling with the proper education.

    1) WE ALL KNOW THE CASINO HAS AN EDGE TO ALL GAMES INCLUDING CRAPS
So we don't bother the worry about that part
    2) Educate yourself on MONEY MANAGEMENT and LEARN ALL ASPECTS OF THE GAME
    3) Build a bank roll starting from WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. example: start with $100 and slowly build it to a substantial bank roll of $500 to $1000
    4) Practice, Practice, Practice. Try out different dice sets and stick with the one that works best with your rolling style.

That's it. Now go make money!!!

I'll go out on a limb here the size of a redwood tree....there is no one who can or is playing craps for a living. No chance, IMO.

Net positive, while extremely tough to do is not out of the realm. The problem is that small percentage of players who are net positive after...let's say a full year of regular play...no one knows in advance who it will be. Even then, net positive could be $1...$100....$1,000? Not a living.

Playing for a living? No one could ever or would ever back this up with a tax return or even a P/L from the casino.

There are many who "live to play"...none who "play to live".

    Sorry.

Find a strategy that you like...I prefer keeping it simple, low or low house edge bets. In the end there is no right or wrong way to play. Find a strategy you like...have fun. It's money, don't be reckless.

Is anyone influencing the dice? We all influence the dice. Wanted result or desired result? Some say they can. I'm skeptical. Impossible to prove unless one considers proving it to themselves is enough evidence. It's never been done with independent trials, tests, etc...as far as I know.

There's thousands of people at least partially making a living off of craps. They all play on the bank side of the game. They supplement that income by also offering Black Jack, Slots, Video poker and selling 50 cent cups of foo foo coffee for $6. :)

    LOL...true. Very true.

My crystal ball should have told me to buy LVS at ~$1.86/share in 2008. Sheldon declared the company was safe, not near bankruptcy and simply needed him to re-negotiate loan terms. I remember being in the Venetian around that time and there were huge crowds....watching literally buckets of roulette chips being dumped into the counter after each spin and saying to myself "what's not to like"? The Venetian was the only casino I went into on that trip where I said "what's with the crowds and huge dollars being wagered"? The others were sparse.

    Stock is $71 today.

    Missed opportunity....to say the least.

Yep, same here. I was going to buy some MGM when it was under $2 in 2009 and never pulled the trigger. Harry Reid pretty much saved that company from going BK in 2009. That was the year I finally learned that what a crooked politician would do has just as much value as fundamentals in the stock market.
