His form looks good, considering the new head and only partially thawed. Wouldn’t the skunk hat help warm up the new gord?

Absolutely not. His $3 tips to the crew prevent any heat coming his way for turning $42 into $5,000.

I was there, and, no, he was not giving lessons. He was just throwing the dice. Looked like 2 or 3 others were with him. The chips on the table were black and orange (pumpkin?). What I saw looked nice, but the table was full that night, so I couldn’t get in on the action. The next day was when I saw them walk him out, before he had a chance to get to the table. I was waiting to see which table he would take, so I was very disappointed.

I read last month that Louisiana has passed a new law requiring their casinos to allow skilled play at any game they offer. It takes effect August 1, 2018. New Jersey does not list skilled play as a basis for expulsion. But Louisiana specifically requires that skilled play be allowed. It will be interesting to see if a casino can get around it. Of course, for craps, you guys don’t believe they will bother - even if they do.

    This is Barney,

The LID only wears the DI skunkhat at casino since it is primarily used to clear table of randies. One major problem with the new head is he wants to be addressed as the TED instead of the LID for some reasons.

    Thank you very much

If you were there and you saw him throwing the dice and even identified that he was with 2 or 3 others AND saw the chips he was wagering (black and orange)....why then are you saying "I heard" he had good rolls?

Did you actually see or you just heard about it from someone else? Who told you "Dominator had great rolls"...?

    Barney,

I think I can explain what’s going on with LID’s new head and why he’s answering to Ted. I did a little research on my lunch computer, which is not as fast as your supper computer, but since I’m in no big hurry, I don’t mind. I know you must be in a state of mourning and may not be up for this news, but it’s quite miraculous news. When I first saw Lid’s new head, I knew he was a baseball player, but he’s not just a baseball player. He’s probably the greatest baseball player of all time! None other than Ted Williams!

    760EA0E5-1FA5-4334-B5DC-330F797FA8AD.jpeg

This is part of the story, how his family had him frozen, against his wishes.

    CryonicsEdit
Though his will stated his desire to be cremated and his ashes scattered in the Florida Keys, Williams's son John-Henry and younger daughter Claudia chose to have his remains frozen cryonically.

Ted's elder daughter, Bobby-Jo Ferrell, brought suit to have her father's wishes recognized. John-Henry's lawyer then produced an informal "family pact" signed by Ted, Claudia, and John-Henry, in which they agreed "to be put into biostasis after we die" to "be able to be together in the future, even if it is only a chance."[148] Bobby-Jo and her attorney, Spike Fitzpatrick (former attorney of Ted Williams), contended that the family pact, which was scribbled on an ink-stained napkin, was forged by John-Henry and/or Claudia.[149] Fitzpatrick and Ferrell believed that the signature was not obtained legally.[150] Laboratory analysis proved that the signature was genuine.[150] John-Henry said that his father was a believer in science and was willing to try cryonics if it held the possibility of reuniting the family.[151]

Though the family pact upset some friends, family and fans, a public plea for financial support of the lawsuit by Ferrell produced little result.[151] Citing financial difficulties, Ferrell dropped her lawsuit in exchange that a $645,000 trust fund left by Williams would immediately pay the sum out equally to the three children.[151] Inquiries to cryonics organizations increased after the publicity from the case.[149]

In Ted Williams: The Biography of an American Hero, author Leigh Montville claims that the family cryonics pact was a practice Ted Williams autograph on a plain piece of paper, around which the agreement had later been hand written. The pact document was signed "Ted Williams", the same as his autographs, whereas he would always sign his legal documents "Theodore Williams", according to Montville. However, Claudia testified to the authenticity of the document in an affidavit.[152] Ted's two 24-hour private caregivers who were with him the entire period the note was said to have been created also stated in affidavits that John-Henry and Claudia were never present at any time for the note to be produced.

Following John-Henry's unexpected illness and death from acute myeloid leukemia on March 6, 2004, John-Henry's body was also transported to Alcor, in fulfillment of the family agreement.[153]

Now, through the miracle of science, he lives again. Give him time, and he will do for Craps, what he did for baseball, the greatest champ of all time. Here’s to the return of Ted! Or maybe Tedlid the great?

I have friends I meet in Bossier City, LA, who like to casino hop. That week, chronologically, 1) I heard he was at a particular casino and had good rolls, 2) I went to his table when I got there and saw what was happening, could not get in, 3) next day I got there earlier hoping to get in on it. Sorry I confused you. In any case, believe what you want. I was just sharing what I saw. Sorry it doesn't fit your world view. Ha

I thought he strained his back when, being color blind, he tried to toss the yellow dice. The student, also pictured, had to use the stick to pry LID off the table.

Joke from my college days. Guy sits down at the counter of a diner. Waitress asks, "May I take your order?" Guy says, "Sure. I'll take a waitress to go with nothing on it."

I just heard from friends that are Vegas locals that 2 casinos on the strip now won’t allow anyone to use a pendulum swing, if the shooter sets the dice (as told by the pit boss). I use a pendulum swing, and set dice, so I was disappointed to hear that. Those are 2 casinos I frequented. I might have to start staying downtown, when I go to Las Vegas.

When I was at one of the 2 casinos last December 2017, the pit boss said I had to hit the wall “harder”, since I was setting the dice. Mind you, both of my dice hit the wall, and I was not making soft throws.

So, if influencing dice is such a lark, why the new restrictions and harassment from the pit boss?

What 2 casinos? I’ll go check it out myself. The last time I got a report like this...I was told Bally’s and Paris don’t allow dice setting. I made a trip there the next day. Went to both casinos.

    Asked the crew myself.

“Set all you want” was the response. I also watched many players set the dice.

What 2 strip casinos are no longer allowing a pendulum swing toss with setting? I’ll go and do it myself....let you know what happens. Just so there's no confusion. I'll go for spot SL1. Set the 3V, pick up the dice 3 fingers, rock my arm back, then forward and release. Like a pendulum.

    Yes, those are the two.

I contacted a friend who is there, now. He also sets and uses a pendulum swing. He said he’s getting no hassle from the crew at this time, just like your friend.

Depends on the pit boss? Or, perhaps groups make them nervous? Might be better to go to the table alone. But I really enjoy having others at the table that I know. Oh, well.

Let me know if you hear anything definitive. That would be great. Thanks.

TD....all of these rumored rules are usually "fly by night" rules that are contingent upon How the Pit Boss feels at ANY particular time, or just people complaining unnecessarily without a leg, or a bankroll to stand on. Business as usual. Come one, come all. Hit the back wall, follow the rules & try to beat us.

Usually when a new rule is implemented....the sign SAYING SO is as big as my nose, & trust me.....I have a pretty big nose!!!!

Cmon man....you just said in a previous post they are not allowing ANYONE.

Now it's dependent on the pit boss?
    Or certain groups?

This was the same crap I went thru with the Ballys and Paris "reporters"....saying NO ONE can set the dice anymore.

    I go there....and it's all bullshit.

I've always said that going to the table in groups, or with a friend that tosses a controlled toss is NOT the smartest thing to do.

    Ya wanna be closely watched?

Yeah, I understand that....but these bans are being presented as across the board...set and use pendulum. "No sir, can't do that".

Now, apparently....5 minutes later its contingent on a pit boss or a certain player.

Don't give me these across the board rules if it isn't so....I run down to the strip and find out it's a crock if shit.

There's no doubt certain players can bring heat with short tossing, low tossing, taking too long, being argumentative, etc.

I'm looking for an across the board rule. No setting. The only casino I know of is in northern Nevada (Windsor) that applies the rule universally.
