Yeah, TD, I used to Toss my "Seven Star" Card on the Tables when Buying in at the Tables. Flung it on the Table like I was some kind of Big Shot. The Pent House Suites with Chocolates laying on the Bed. The $5,000 Shopping Sprees. Spa, & Facials for the Wife, Etc. Not to mention all the Cheap Bulls**t that comes to your House Via UPS from the Casinos. My Host even Took the Wife & I Downstairs to a Wine Cellar, Served us Dinner, Complete with Two different Servers. One that prepared the Food, & the other one that brought us the Vintage wine! Who the Hell do you think Paid for all That? When I see a lot of these Cigar toting Big Shots toss those Seven Star Cards on the Tables...... I just Laugh, because I KNOW there's a Price that You pay for EVERYTHING in the Casinos. Sure feels good to "Butt" the Long Lines, & avoid all the crowd as you get Preferential treatment going through those Seven Star Lines. Makes you feel REAL Special. HOWEVER, it's always Business as Usual with the Casinos. The Casino's Attitude: Want a Seven Star Status? NO PROBLEM!!! Just PAY ME, BITCH, & the World is Yours. Lost the Kid's college Funds? PAY ME, BITCH!!!! Behind on your Mortgage Payments? PAY ME BITCH!!! Lost the Car Note Payment at the Crap Tables? PAY ME, BITCH!!!! Business, As Usual!! No, The Casino Does NOT Twist your Arm & MAKE you play. However, MONEY is a "Driving Force", & the Casino's have the Best Marketing Plans Known to ManKind............ MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$

Casinos are a place where "all men are NOT created equal"....

The disconcerting aspect of that lies in the fact that bad behavior is treated differently. I've seen $5 players get admonished for swearing. I've seen $500 players swearing up and down like a sailor and not a word...from the same employee.

Rather disgusting if you ask me. No one is above anyone else in terms of common courtesy. In the casino, that does not apply.

Well if you save 75000 dollars over the past 25 years on food and room comps, just how much did you lose? I tell everybody to read Whale Hunt In The Desert to get a good idea how the casinos operate when it comes to comps.

I don't think youre reading what Im posting rick.
what I win or lose has absolutely nothing to do with any comps I accept.
    nothing, nada, zip, zero.
Comps never , ever, influenced my play.
I have chosen casinos because of free rooms instead of paying for a room or food in another casino, but only because I will only play in a casino I enjoy playing in.
Ive always been able to go to 2 of caesars properties in AC for years and years, any night I wanted, but I never did because I hated the casinos.
I mainly went to shitboat only because we were able to get 2-3 rooms comped and gave them to friends or relatives, and usually those trips I hardly gambled. It was more of a get together type trip, dinners, boardwalk , walking around the outlets, but my play at caesars was always strong enough they would always offer me comps, and still today. free rooms everywhere in their properties, no longer Saturday nights though.

If you travelled to florida, and needed a room, if you are ok with lets say a Hampton inn, or Hilton, and they said, hey, if you stay here we will give you the 3 nights free, would you refuse?

    I am a gambler.
I only play serious money where I am totally comfortable.(serious money to me, not anyone else)
And only when I want to gamble. Its all my terms, not the casinos.
Comps are money savers, one cannot say, well, that room cost you 1600 bucks. That doesn't float with me.
Im going to gamble. I don't care what they rate me, I know my play will get me a room anywhere. they can do what they please.
I can go to atlantic city in 3 weeks for free, almost all my food for free, but Im going to pay 109 dollars a night in Sands Bethelehem, and pay for all my food, only because Ive been winning constantly there, and my wife does well there also on the slots. I don't know why, we just do.
Comps have no bearing on where I will play or stay, unless Im going there anyway.
If I lost 75000 dollars over the past 25 years, I know I saved the same amount by not paying for rooms that I was offered for free.

when someone decides hey, I want comps, so I will play, that is a total mistake.
casinos use comps to get you into their hotel, with me, they don't need too, Im going there anyway, but Id be a fool not to take them up on a free room and free food.

if I don't want to wait on any line, into any restaurant, its very simple.
I walk over to the seater, or maitre'd and hand them a 5 or 10 dollar bill and whisper, I don't want to wait to be seated.
I don't need to play up to any casinos standards for a platinum card.
I cringe when I walk up to a table and the pit says, its ok Mr. L(liman), I got ya. at the same time, Ill use my card anyway when they don't know me, only because again, I don't live near a casino, and if I choose to play, I know my play will get me rooms, so why not get something for free. Noone forces me or coerces me to play at their tables.

The only person that benefits besides me from my comped food and rooms are the waitresses, as if service is good, Ill go 25% tip instead of 20%.

speaking about comps, my last trip to vegas, I stayed at venetian at 189 per night plus resort fees.
I could have stayed next door in harrahs for free, or at flamingo for free, but I paid for my rooms.
And I did most of my play at the shitbox next door, casino royale.
I wanted automatic curtains, so I paid for them.

I'm going to show my player's card. If I get comp'd, fine; if not, fine. I don't know what the big deal is, but of course my play is so low that maybe comps don't matter. I just want to play craps at a live table.
