Demango, you are absolutely correct. Tunica SHOULD be the ONLY consideration. The indian casinos govern themselves, & we KNOW how THAT goes. You are playing on sovereign land, wherein the Gaming Commission consists of the Indians, themselves. How Hilarious, huh? Demango, I sincerely apologize for my Senseless antics a few months ago. Egos should NOT intervene when discussing topics on a internet Craps forum. We all get a little "Carried away" sometimes, but some things are TOTALLY inexcusable. Once again...... My sincerest apologies!
Nope!!! Just thought it'd be "Civil" to disagree or take constructive criticism without all of the senseless Name calling. Getting a little too old for childish antics. Thought it'd be wise to "Clean Up" a few things. We can agree to disagree. After all, The Casino is the Opponent. Why bicker amongst Ourselves? Not worth it!!
Today is my birthday & I made 108 years old today. Wife flew in to Chicago Friday. I was supposed to Drive, but decided against it. Hate driving three hours to a casino, but readily agree to drive 11 hours to Chicago? Where's the logic in that? My wife's departing words while dropping her off at the airport Friday: "Stay out of that friggin Casino, & if I find out that you went anyways, Take that raggedy Ass truck of yours & leave My Lincoln Parked in the Friggin drive way!!! LOL
The only reason I found my way to this forum is because I have way more time to casually get on the internet and browse the craps forum. I'm not wasting my time and energy answering your e-mails. I find it interesting to say the least. I haven't been gambling for a couple of months because I am restricted by caring for a very sick family member and they happen to live in a non-casino state.
Everytime a DI here is asked why they aren't playing more with their skills, the answer always come back as "taking care of a family member". Everytime. I guess it's the go to excuse because all the other excuses don't sound plausible.
Wow you really are jaded to think that I'm lying or saying "taking care of a family member" is some sort of an excuse. What an Ahole. I'm sorry you feel that way. I didn't know that was the patent answer given from all the other DI's.... obviously you've asked this question a lot. I can see where you offend so many of the other DI's with your stupid comments. Will believe it or not taking care of my family is more important to me then playing craps everyday even though I love the game and I do play it every week. Fortunately enough, I am financially able to take time off from both of my jobs, my day job and my craps job. I love my family more and when my family needs help, I'm there for them. Craps will always be there. I'm enjoying the craps forum in lieu of the game itself.
Why do you guys continue(I say this Respectfully) to let TD get under your Skin? I mean...... Really, This is what TDVegas does. You guys get bent all out of shape while TDVegas kicks Back like a Big Mack, laughing his ass off at How Defensive you guys get.
I haven't been on this forum very long to know better....but the more I read from TD, the more he reminds me of a disgruntled boxman who sits at the craps table watching all the craps players make bank on a great roll and he's jealous because he's on the other side, can't be part of the winning team and all the while, catching heat for losing the casino's money. I'm not bent out of shape and I enjoy his bantering. I think sometimes he generalizes too much and this kind of irks me because he doesn't have my experience...but then again how could he? I guess that's why he can't see my side of it but I do understand where he is coming from and his side of it. I just don't believe what he thinks about DI applies to me. That's all.
Nor does any other DI think it applies to them, hartzehn22! My motto is: Keep making your coins, & forget about what others think. No one likes to be called a Liar, but this is the internet, so expect JUST ABOUT anything. Now, I did NOT say accept it, I said Expect it!!! Now, certainly you cannot blame a guy for NOT believing in DI'ng if they've NEVER seen it successfully Performed. we have members with OVER 40 yrs playing experience that's Never seen it done, first Hand. The most compelling problem, being that it would take MONTHS of viewing to draw a definitive decision. I mean...... REALLY, who the hell is gonna follow a DI around "Clocking" their win Percentages & shooting techniques for Months? ESPECIALLY when you think it's a Crock of shit anyways. Better for the Naysayer to Holler "Bullshit", & just "Keep it moving", Huh?
LOL..I'm in Vegas, Entertainment capital of the world. The heat is wonderful. I hike Red Rock Canyon twice a week. I play golf once a week. I get on the tennis court when I can find a good enough opponent. I've seen just about every worthwhile show in town. I retired from the work grind before I hit 40 because my profession was all in early and relax later. I'm in Summerlin---look it up if you would like. My days are spent how I want to spend them...at the casino, at my pool, a nice lunch in Boulder or at Downtown Summerlin. I'm on this forum when I want to be. I answer to no boss, punch no time clock---I travel all over the Southwest, Zion, Death Valley, Sedona, Utah---I get to Malibu twice a year and I go to Key West once a year---simply because I miss the beach. Why on earth would jealousy ever enter into the mix over something as insignificant as gambling and dice control fantasies? LOL. True DI skill would have been exposed by the casino industry long ago...much like card counting. The fact that you can still set dice should be an eye opener for anyone who questions the casino. The industry does not take advantage play lightly.
More like a "chuckle".... I like that---Big Mack. 8:42pm here and I'm sitting outside having a G&T and it's still 104 degrees. I love it.
Hey, I shot an 81 the other day. Do I give a sh*t if someone on an Internet message board believes me or not?....LOL. Will I go on and on trying to make someone believe I can shoot an 81? LOL. Who cares. Grow some skin. As you said, there are current and former rail guys here, guys with 40-50 years playing on the rail---none of them have attested to seeing DI. The casinos have no policies on DI. At the very least, don't you think, if the casinos thought they were getting "hit" by all these guys---they might discontinue dice setting? Just might?
Hey thanks for your response. I can appreciate all of what you said. I'm a pretty understanding person and I try not to shut down the other side because we can all learn something from everyone. I may be naive in thinking this but that's ok. I gave up long ago trying to explain to other craps players why I track my numbers or why I like to set the dice. I found that It's hard to get a good sense of a player and their abilities if you don't know their numbers or their tendencies. (me included) That's what I learned early on with the tracking of my own numbers. So for me, I keep coming back to the table not only because I enjoy playing but for the extra coins. My expectations of my DI abilities are known to me and ultimately that is all that matters when I'm on the craps table. What I observe about my game as a DI through the data that I recorded is solely my own observations about what I know to be true for my game. I bet based on my tendencies with the dice given what I know I can do more often than not. Call that what you will but I would say for me, it is DI. To be fair though, I also believe much of what TD says is true because DI is not done by many on a consistent basis. I see other DI's struggle and it is because there are so many different variables that you have to consider. The DI's can have the best looking toss and PSO every time and become so frustrated. They don't change their game and then wonder why they loose. Playing ignorant whether you are a DI or chicken feeder is nearly universal in this negative expectation game. Unfortunately, I see very few players that will adjust their betting style and or their toss (if they are a dice setter) if they are not winning. Players can get too caught up in the game and loose sight of what is happening on the table. Easy come easy go. I'd rather it come easy but it is hard work to win at craps.
Some player have to take care of their family, if you can't understand that, I do feel sorry for you. Family is more Important then playing craps. I personally look up to anybody that will take care of their family before playing craps!
Oh, it's definitely a good reason to not be in the casino....I just find it odd that it's so prevalent with DI'ers.
