I love both bets, they do not suck if you can make points or numbers! The trouble nowadays is it's getting harded to find the real fire bet around here most have the watered down one!

Rick I would assume that you mean the "watered down one" is somewhat at a lower payoff. Just what would be the normal payoff as to opposed to the watered down payoff? Just sayin.

I wouldn't say the "fire bet" is uneffected, by the comeout, but true, it does not LOSE on the come out.

Yes, some times I dictate off of my phone to make a post and if I'm doing other things do not proof read them. I've been very busy with other things here dealing with my good X friend Harley!

Oh, did I mention his name, I hope he reads this post?

There are now a lot of watered down payoff on the fire and All Tall Small bets around town in a way we can thank Steve Wynn the last I heard he now has two times odds on his tables and the watered down bets!

Any bet sucks if you can not hit them but they are great bets if you can. The fire bet has the largest play out on the table some don't get that you only have to hit it a few times a year to be in the black on it. I see a lot of so-called DI's that will never bet it and when they do roll a six point fire bet they are just about crying!

I've had guys on the table with me that didn't want to bet the fire when I was shooting because just like everybody else said it was a bad bet. Well after getting them to throw in $1 on it they didn't know what to do to thank me for hitting it!

Yes, I got lucky that day and so did they but you make your own luck if the guy didn't have it bet he wouldn't have been lucky. I see the fire bet hit all of the time for 4 points or more so why not bet it? At the same time, I see these guys that will never bet it making all kinds of prop bets, way too funny if you ask me!

I like to say that there are no bad bets on a craps table if you are hitting them but I see guys that will make prop bets on every roll of the dice when nobody is rolling them!

To say that you never see a fire bet hit when you only play craps a few times a year is an asinine statement. You have to be on the tables to see anything hit!

That bet is a bugger to me also. I cant count the times I have them
all except the 2 & 12,,, if my shot is right, I wont hit the 2 or 12 so
I have to change my set in the middle of a good roll to do it.

I would much rather play the repeater bet in vegas....that is pretty
easy to win at and it is not a bad bet for anyone...

    I'm in the casino a lot...enough.

I'm sure the fire bet hits...

    So do slots...
    I see it myself.

    What's the point?
    They are considered good plays?

    They aren't.

If you put down a buck a thousand times, one 6 point winner will pay the cost.

Many people playing alongside me put out a white or a red on damn near every shooter.

I have put out a total of maybe $15 on the fire in my entire life, and have won a total of $50. I am quitting while ahead.

Take the $1,000 and play slots. You've got a better chance. Find a 10% hold slot and its ~2.5x better than the fire bet.

To each his own. I consider the bet like buying a pick 3 ticket each day.

If I read the odds table correctly at WoO, if you make 1,000,000 bets at $1, you will win $1000, 162 times. One more time: Fire Bet Blows.

Your correct they are terrible bets, unless you can hit them.
For me the repeater bet at a coupe of your casinos is a great
bet for me.... the fire bet is not a good bet for me because I
tend to repeat on a good roll, 2-3 numbers are half of my roll.

Right...and if such was the case---we would all be somewhere else right now instead of just debating it.

I have no doubt they hit. I also saw someone hit the Mega on Thor yesterday. $2,026.63.

Let's also be clear here...ANY bet, ANY wager that hits is a GOOD bet...a GREAT bet.

The question at hand is prior to the bet...and that is where I agree with the first part of your sentence.

I hit yesterday, also. Hit my knee on the cocktail table, on my way to the Couch! Might also "Hit" the Garage & toss a few before the evening "hits".

Yes, you are right any bet that hits is a good bet and any bonus bet for me is a good bet! If it wasn't I wouldn't be playing it, don't bet on anything that you can't hit it will save you money and some guys should never even play the bubble for a $1.

Right, but I (we) are not discussing what is good for you personally or how you feel the bet works for you. We are discussing the bet in general terms. It's a bad bet...based on EV.
