I've heard about Tenaya Creek Brewery---is that on N. Tenaya?

I like to get out of town and away from Vegas once in a while. Boulder is a good diversion. About 45 minutes for me. Quaint town.

If you visit Hemenway Park there in the early afternoon, a mass (100+) of big horn sheep make their way down from the mountain and eat the grass for an hour or so. Then they all migrate back up the mountain. Sight to see. Happens everyday, like clockwork.

    Nice soliloquy Onaoutpilot...,

Wish you would have posted the same soliloquy to TD Vegas when he was busy with lambasting the rest of us (myself and several other members of this board included...) on various post with; insults, name calling, derogatory remarks and/or slanderous statements.

I don't doubt your sincerity ..., only disappointed in your "one-sidedness".

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

To the poster who was worried about..."this may discourage TD from posting..."

    Not to worry...

TD Vegas is like "Bob" in the movie "What about Bob..." (with Bill Murray....) ,

He's not going anywhere...!!! He is embedded in this Forum .

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't understand the "uproar" when someone gets a little bit of the medicine which they've been dishing out ....for quite a while.

I am a forgiving person and "do not hold a grudge"...

So TD; keep the good photos coming (and let us both follow Onautopilot's good advice.)

    I wish you well,

    Obie1

Am I b eing slanderous if I don't believe in the "Strategy"? Is that Derogatory? He shoots down all BS people are trying to sell and its a good counterbalance to all the gibberish we see on here. Now the name calling gets out of hand o n here sometimes but the discussion is always hot and informative.

After having another "little talk with myself", I suspect you have a valid point here. There was some bias in my post. In fairness, I should have addressed both sides. It is not a fault I am unfamiliar with.

Who wants to be fair ; who wants to bring up both sides of the argument when you don't like someone and want to slam them.

Bias is good. ...and has it's place when trying to make your point. You are not a judge here.....you are the hammer. Be strong, do not show mercy, do not be weak, do not beg.

    IMHO.

In all fairness, Obie1 is the only one I see that has an invitation to view before purchase. (I think he is the only one). Folks are commenting on it and how ridiculous it is without seeing what it is. To me it's the same thing with everything else on this forum (DI don't work, strategy sucks, etc.). When someone has an invite to view then form your own opinions, I think that person should be given a slack.

    Just my opinion

I tend to agree, but hell, I might want to switch sides at some point....have to leave that option open! :)

I did give "The Strategy" a lot of slack because of Obie's presentation. But, as some elements of the scheme, were offered, I viewed those elements with skepticism, and disbelief....based on common sense, and the long standing concept of "random", as relates to bank craps. I held that position, and still do.

Yea nothing directed to you personally. I was just saying it in general. You can look at it like trying to bet on a horse and you are looking at the racing form. Nothing is 100% guarantee but the racing form and a look at all the horses and what they have done before on certain tracks is better than walking up to the window and choosing one out of thin air.

Oh, I have seen some pretty disgusting stuff in my time, but back "when", the crew, pit boss, and shift manager, would not have tolerated the behavior mentioned in that article...no matter the high roller status.

When I was dealing, most of the B/J dealers were women, one night I witnessed a drunk hitting on a cute dealer, he was a high roller, and would not let up. The young dealer actually began to cry, and the pit tapped her out, and brought in a older lady, with a lot of thick bark on her. Didn't take her long to take care of that situation!

But sadly, in the new realm, this happens far too often. I hear the stories from my grandson, who deals all the table games. But he has some pretty thick bark also. :).

Take heart, won't be long and someone will throw some of your afore mentioned "crap" at the wall to see what sticks....and things will be back to normal.

I posted after a trip to Mohegan sun Pocono downs, two DI shooters, seemed like father and son, said something inappropriate to a young female dealer, and the pit boss stepped in immediately and said to them, how would you like it if someone asked your daughter that?
he then told them in a strong voice that's totally wrong.
When he walked away, the female dealer waved it off and her remarks were just as inappropriate so Im guessing she didn't care much, since she mentioned something about taking it up the butt.

this very subject came up at the craps table the other day...i pointed out that cameras---or rather taking pictures "used to be" strictly forbidden anywhere in the casinos...and indeed this was strictly enforced too...but with the advent and subsequent virtually universal proliferation of small, powerful cell phones and their ilk with easily manipulated cameras, the prohibition became unenforceable from a practical customer experience and sheer number standpoint...the old signs prohibiting it, for the most part, have been removed...

it still is only very loosely frowned upon but you wont see anymore security running over and berating a slots player for taking a picture of his jackpot or a video poker player snapping a picture of her royal flush...

yet remnants of the old rules are still enforced, for example, at the craps tables where cell phone use is prohibited perhaps to for-stall picture taking as there seemingly is no other reason for it at such a game of pure luck (as opposed to, say, at the poker table where conceivably a card hand could be viewed and intelligence relayed thereby)...this is enforced but the crew may not even know why...besides step 2 or 3 feet away from the rail and you can talk on your phone 'til you're blue in the face...

tom "home runs are sometimes boring" p

I never take my phone into the casino, a cell phone to me is a necessary evil, and I would rather not hear one sided conversations while I am playing, most of them are LOUD, by necessity in a casino environment I reckon. But, they are part of the casino environment now, so my Avatar said, "Get used to it JB, ain't going away any time soon!". :)

A dinosaur I may be, but if up to me, wouldn't possess one. Wifey purchased me a flipper probably 7 or 8 years ago, to replace my pager, on which of course I never took or placed a call. This exchange was made without my knowledge.

Although I am advised that I qualify for a free new phone, I've held onto the original. Actually have not held onto it, as it gets pretty scuffed up bouncing around in one of the cars, the one that doesn't get out unless the weather is perfect.

It has always astounded me how much use people get out of those things.
