    Calling all math geniuses.

    Using normal casino odds,

What’s the proper payout on each of the Horn bet numbers for a 25 cent Horn bet?

    [6][6] =

    [1][1] =

    [2][1] =

    [6][5] =

1/16 of what a $4 horn bet pays Crispcem, I mean 12/4s. I'll be sending you a bill for "math counseling". :)

    Staying up or coming down?

Normally I never play the horn on the bubble but I will tonight. I want to see which way the Interblock machine rounds. I assume it rounds down but I never have paid attention. I think it'll book a 25 cent horn. I know you can bet 25 cents on the individual horn numbers.

Those 1/4 pennies really add up, if it rounds up, you could make an extra 6-8 cents an hour. Cha-Ching!

The Interblock I was playing was 25 cent minimum to 2k total max bet. It took 25 cent bets on everything except 6&8 place bets and lay bets. You can buy a 6 or 8 for 25 cents. Takes me back to the good old days of quarter tables, but the machine pays to the penny. I had 25 cents on the Horn and boxcars rolled. I think the payout was $1.63? 06.25 x 30. I guess it rounds up? I was there to make Derby bets, and was surprised they had a new Interblock machine with 6 stations. I played about 3 hours and 4 different players were explaining to me how the game was rigged. Everyone of them was losing, yet they kept stuffing more twenties in the slot? One guy explained how the computer keeps track of all the bets and how the magnets control the outcome determined by the computer to win the most for the House. I just nodded and kept winning.

That seems to be a common theme on the bubble machines. One guy here used to run around to see what everyone else was betting and he'd lay the 4 or 10 if other people were betting on the do side. From what I was seeing he was losing more than winning.

He used to live there it seemed.

A month or so ago he wasn't there and his buddy claimed he was working at his sisters cat on stick restaurant. Supposedly, because they were short handed.

The past 10 days he hasn't been there any of the times I was there. I asked the shift manager if he was ok? He said he was freinds with his sister on facebook and would ask. He never got back to me.

Hopefully it's only his wallet that is sick. He may of been 86'd. He was rather obnoxious at times, usually if he was winning on the don't. I'm sure some of the other players didn't appreciate him chanting for a F'ing seven all the time. I ignored him because the more attention you gave him the worse he would get.

You're probably right. You know what they say about curiosity kills the cat. lol. I'll find out tonight if it pays as 6.25 cent bets or 6 cents and I'll write down how it rounds the payoffs.

It's more action than some of the resident keyboard crapsters cough up. :)

Just think of the possibilities for progressions if you started them out on the bubble and migrated to the live tables only when the table limits forced you to.

I don't plan on making horn bets as a habit but I am curious to see how partial cent bets are rounded on the machines. I never have paid any attention to that before.

I may even make a 25 cent buy the 4 bet just to see what it pays.

I don’t remember ever making any prop bets back then. I believed what all the books said, never make any bets in the center of the table. Yet we’ve all seen some betters kill the dreaded BAD bets, whilst we stand around losing our come bets.

on the interblock machine here, all prop bets come down after roll, and they need to be re bet if you want.
Only place bets remain up.off and on come bets, you have to re bet the odds.

that was my first real play action at slots/fun 25 cent table, 12 hours a day, 14 hours a day, sometimes Id cross the street to silver city where they had a 25 cent table also, and the tables were never closed, ever, even if I was the only player at silver city.
don't recall if it was a 25 cent min line bet or 50 cent min line bet.

my wife would go out to the side entrance of circus circus and get a flyer for free hotdogs, popcorn, sodas, for slots/fun while I was playing there. (that shitty little food stand in there, everyone we brought into that shithole loved their shrimp cocktail for 99 cents.)
breakfasts at stardust or Riviera for 99 cents, then 2.99 prime rib dinners.
we ate breakfast lunch and dinner for under 10 dollars a day each.....and all the free popcorn and hotdogs and sodas one could want.

do you remember between stardust and was it westward ho or slots fun(don't recall which one was right next to stardust,) there was an abandoned small free standing food stand? then mcdonalds built a restaurant there? first time I walked into mcdonalds and saw slot machines.

I even remember I was so freeking addicted to craps back then, after standing at the tables all day and night long without drinking enough I used to get severe leg cramps from dehydration and standing still at the rail.
those days are never coming back, vegas was super fun back then,

Good stuff. Lowest minimums I've seen on Aruze are $1...but for some reason a horn bet cost you $4. There was one terminal at red rock that had the horn for $1. There were a few prop bet players always looking for that terminal.

    Lotta fun. Glad you won.

My first trip to vegas I played quarter blackjack at Slots of fun. I had studied Scarne on Cards and had a basic strategy down pat. I played a take and press style and at one point had a stack of quarter chips bet. Must've been 2 bucks and the pit boss was taking interest in me. I was sweating like a pig and finally lost.

I took my winnings over to Imperial Palace and learned how to play Craps. I haven't played table card games since.

Next time, I’ll have to pay more attention, but I remember parlaying my horn winner a few times and I think I had to put the whole bet up again. Much to my amazement, I hit every parlay. When you’re hot, you’re hot.

I’m worried that the 25 cent minimum won’t last long. Probably just an introductory deal to get some people interested. The Interblock roulette game there, has 25 cent bets, but requires $3 total minimum bet. Craps game will probably go same direction.

I really like the Interblock features better than Aruze. Given a choice, all betting options equal, I’d rather play the Interblock. I really like the drop down screen that shows the past ten hands, and the numerous other graphics.
